His Eminence Samuel Uche, the prelate of the Methodist Church in Nigeria, was kidnapped along with two other priests and has now been released.
According to reports, Bishop Uche and other priests kidnapped on the Enugu-Portharcourt expressway on Sunday afternoon were released on Monday.
Police in Abia state have already confirmed their release, but have not stated whether or not a ransom was paid.
