Two men have been confirmed dead following a tanker explosion at Chibyno filling station on the Alaoji-Ikot-Ekpene Road in the Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
The victims were suspected of being involved in oil bunkering because they were discharging petroleum products before daybreak, according to Aba Fire Service Zonal Commander Belenta Belenta, who confirmed the incident to NAN.

The official confirmed that the explosion at the site caused a fire that consumed five trucks.
After mobilization, according to Belenta, service personnel were able to put out the fire.
