The Ilobu country home of Lasun Yusuff, the Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in the Osun gubernatorial election, was attacked by unidentified gunmen in the early hours of Monday.
It was learned that the unidentified gunmen arrived around 2 a.m. and opened fire on the building in the Oke-Ima neighbourhood of the town.
According to sources, security personnel attached to the compound were able to repel the attack and no one was injured.
Yusuff, a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, appeared on Sunday night at the Osun Gubernatorial debate.
