AKOD Pledges Ikeja’s Commitment To Primary Healthcare Boost.

Ikeja Local Government Chairman, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD),has reaffirmed his administration’s focus on healthcare delivery, participating in a Joint Leadership Dialogue on Strengthening Primary Health Care System in Lagos State.

The event, held at Sheraton Hotel, Lagos, brought together health sector stakeholders, including UNICEF, World Bank, and Nigeria Health Watch, to discuss strategies for enhancing primary healthcare delivery, accountability, and funding efficiency.

Speaking on the importance of the programme,AKOD emphasized Ikeja’s commitment to building healthier communities, aligning with his human capital development agenda.

 

He noted that insights from the dialogue would improve service delivery in Ikeja’s primary health centres through improved collaboration with state authorities and development partners.

“Ikeja Local Government remains committed to policies and partnerships that promote accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for all residents.”he stated

Investigator news reports that discussions at the event emphasized the critical role of local governments in revitalizing the primary health care system,improving access to quality healthcare services,and strengthening health infrastructure,workforce capacity, and community engagement.
