    TAT,Facts And Tact.

    By Onadeko, Damilola Edward,ACArb.

Leadership, at its most profound, is an intricate dance between vision and action, between principle and pragmatism.

Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT) has illuminated Ejigbo LCDA with a rare synthesis of strategic foresight, unwavering resolve, and deft tact, transforming pledges into tangible reality and ambition into measurable impact.

His tenure, albeit new, is a vivid testament to the potency of deliberate, purposeful governance, where every initiative resonates as a statement of intent and a promise fulfilled.

Under his stewardship, Ejigbo has undergone a visible metamorphosis, a renaissance of inexplicable developments where infrastructure meets imagination, and functionality is fused with aesthetic elegance.

Roads that once bore the scars of neglect now shine under interlocking paving stones, flanked by double-sided drainage systems and solar-powered streetlights that pierce the darkness with steadfast brilliance.

“Facts and tact, applied with discernment, can reshape a community and transform aspirations into reality”

What were once perilous paths have become thriving arteries of connectivity, facilitating commerce, easing movement, and instilling a renewed sense of civic pride.

The reconstruction of Jakande/Oke Afa Retail Market into a modern, organized, and secure mall exemplifies this approach: a harmonious blend of commerce, community, and modernity, where entrepreneurship is nurtured, livelihoods are uplifted, and local trade is elevated to new heights.

TAT’s astuteness is equally evident in the domain of human capital and healthcare. Ejigbo’s health landscape has been transformed with precision and foresight.

Comprehensive medical outreaches, routine screenings, and polio outbreak response interventions have fortified the community against disease, while the acquisition of a state-of-the-art ambulance and the ongoing modernization of health facilities demonstrate that governance is measured not in structures alone, but in lives saved and well-being preserved.

Every initiative in this sector reflects a meticulous strategy, combining preventive care, accessibility, and quality service delivery to ensure that no resident is left behind.

Economic empowerment under TAT’s administration has been both visionary and pragmatic, a model of calculated generosity and strategic foresight.

Through the Renewed Hope / Idea Oluwa De Mega Empowerment Initiative, hundreds of residents have received entrepreneurial tools, startup capital, and mentorship tailored to local market realities.

“Every initiative resonates as a statement of intent and a promise fulfilled.”

From deep freezers and industrial ovens to sewing machines, these resources are not mere handouts but instruments of sustainable transformation, equipping beneficiaries to harness opportunities, expand businesses, and foster economic resilience.

Young innovators have been provided with startup funds and strategic guidance, sowing the seeds of creativity, growth, and independence, laying the foundation for a self-reliant and prosperous generation.
Education, the cornerstone of societal advancement, has received comparable attention.

TAT’s administration has ensured that every child and student has access to learning opportunities, distributing examination forms, providing academic support, and organizing coaching programs.

The beautification and security of school compounds, installation of water and sanitation facilities, and the creation of conducive learning environments reflect an understanding that infrastructure alone is insufficient without intellectual and moral scaffolding.

Initiatives such as literacy programs, educational competitions, and mentoring schemes cultivate excellence and inspire young minds to reach their full potential.
Environmental stewardship under T.A.T has been deliberate, visionary, and impactful.

“Leadership, at its most profound, is an intricate dance between vision and action, between principle and pragmatism.”

Drains have been desilted back to back, waterways cleared, and routine sanitation exercises institutionalized to prevent flooding and enhance hygiene.

Advanced waste management systems, a state-of-the-art waste compactor, and the strategic planting of greenery have transformed Ejigbo into a community that marries functionality with aesthetics and sustainability with civic pride.

The administration has shown that a clean, green, and orderly environment is not a luxury, but a foundational element of a thriving society.

Technology and digital governance have also been harnessed effectively. Modern ICT equipment has been deployed across administrative departments and legislative offices to ensure data-driven decision-making, transparency, and accountability.

This approach has not only improved efficiency but has also demonstrated a leadership that is modern, responsive, and forward-looking, positioning Ejigbo LCDA as a model for technologically-enabled local governance.
Agriculture and rural development have been invigorated with purposeful interventions.

The establishment of farmer and artisan associations has provided platforms for collaboration, training, and access to resources, empowering local producers to maximize productivity, elevate their market presence, and achieve economic self-sufficiency.

The structured Oja Oko marketplace initiative further exemplifies this approach, creating a well-organized hub for fresh produce, supporting local farmers, and providing residents with access to affordable, high-quality goods.

Programmes promoting food security, agricultural best practices, and sustainable farming have positioned Ejigbo as a guide of community-driven economic empowerment.

And to crown these remarkable achievements, the Council Secretariat now radiates with dazzling Christmas illumination, transforming it into a guiding light of joy, celebration, and communal pride.

“A clean, green, and orderly environment is not a luxury, but a foundational element of a thriving society.”

The brilliant display is more than mere decoration; it is a symbolic manifestation of a year defined by astuteness, pragmatism, and transformative leadership.

Residents and visitors alike are reminded that governance, when executed with foresight, tact, and precision, can elevate the ordinary into the extraordinary, turning spaces and lives into living testaments of progress. What a magnificent way to close the year 2026 at Ejigbo LCDA.

What truly distinguishes TAT’s leadership is the undeniable confluence of vision, strategy, and execution.

Every road laid, market modernized, life touched, and opportunity created serves as living proof that facts and tact, applied with discernment, can reshape a community and transform aspirations into reality.

In Ejigbo LCDA, governance has transcended rhetoric; the evidence is tangible, compelling, and irrefutable, “res ipsa loquitur.”

Under the stewardship of Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo, Ejigbo LCDA stands as a vivid exemplar of purposeful, pragmatic, and transformative leadership, a community where hope has been rekindled, confidence restored, and progress rendered visible, enduring, and inspiring for generations to come.

Fidelity Bank Plc has brought relief to indigent patients at the Enugu State University Teaching Hospital (ESUTH) Parklane, by offsetting medical bills and providing financial support to children battling chronic health conditions alongside donations of ante-natal kits to pregnant women.

The intervention, which was carried out under the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative known as Fidelity Helping Hands Programme (FHHP), was funded and executed by newly inducted employees of the bank, the Optimizers Inductees Class, as their community impact project, with matching financial support from the bank.

Commenting on the outreach, Divisional Head, Brand and Communications Division, Fidelity Bank Plc, Dr Meksley Nwagboh, highlighted that the initiative underscores the bank’s commitment to improving lives through targeted social interventions across its four CSR pillars.

“This project reflects the spirit of who we are as a bank. Beyond providing financial services, we are committed to touching lives within the communities where we operate.

Today, we are donating ante-natal kits to pregnant women and also supporting indigent patients who have remained in the hospital due to unpaid bills.

Some of the children also require long-term medical care, so we have given additional financial support to aid their continued treatment,” Dr Nwagboh said.

Whilst wishing the beneficiaries quick recovery and good health, Nwagboh described the intervention as both significant and timely, enabling many families to reunite and celebrate the festive season without the burden of outstanding hospital debts.

Receiving the donation, the Chief Matron of the Children’s Ward, Esther Nnaji, commended Fidelity Bank for the timely intervention, describing it as a lifeline for families grappling with rising healthcare costs.

“There are so many families here in desperate need. Some of the children are battling cancer, sickle cell disease and other chronic conditions.

Fidelity Bank’s support will go a long way in relieving their pain. Because of what you have done, some of these children will now be able to see their siblings again,” she said.

Several beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude to Fidelity Bank for easing their financial burdens. Mrs. Adaeze Ilo, whose baby’s bill was cleared, said the support came at a moment of despair.

“After spending months in the hospital, we had no idea how to raise the money,” she said. “Fidelity Bank came through for us when we needed it the most. We are deeply grateful.”

Another relieved parent, Jane Anthony, whose son’s bill was cleared, said her family had already accepted that they would spend Christmas in the hospital.

“God used Fidelity Bank to send us home to enjoy Christmas. My heart is full.” she said.

The recent outreach to Enugu State University Teaching Hospital further highlights Fidelity Bank’s continued commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening community well-being across Nigeria through community-driven CSR efforts.
