    The Executives of Jakande Estate and Oke-Afa Plank Market and Furniture Association paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo, to reaffirm their support for his administration’s developmental initiatives.

    The visit was aimed at felicitating the Executive Chairman and reaffirming their unflinching support for his administration’s developmental strides within the council.

    Investigator news reports that the association presented office tables, chairs, and a portrait to the Executive Chairman as a gesture of appreciation for his leadership.

    While receiving the delegation, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo expressed gratitude for their goodwill and generous presentation.

    TAT commended the association’s unity and sense of purpose, reiterating the Lagos State Government’s commitment to safety, cleanliness, and prosperity in Ejigbo LCDA.

    According to the Chairman, the government’s ongoing initiatives are geared toward fostering a safer, cleaner, and more prosperous environment for both business owners and residents.

    The Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) farmers stole the show at the 2025 World Food Day Celebration in Lagos, showcasing the success of Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo’s (TAT) agricultural initiatives.

    The event organized by the Lagos State Government took place at the Police College Field,Ikeja witnessed a large turnout of farmers from different local government showcasing and exhibiting from their fresh produce.

    Ejigbo’s display of fresh produce and innovation earned applause from dignitaries, solidifying its position in Lagos’ food value chain.

    This is line with TAT’s flagship program which provides farmers with land, quality seedlings, modern tools, and direct market access, boosting productivity and local economy.

    The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has called on youths to consider agriculture as a viable path to wealth creation and sustainable livelihoods.

    This message was delivered in a statement to commemorate World Food Day 2025, themed “Hand in Hand for Better Food and a Better Future.”

    In a statement released by his Media handlers,Taiwo emphasized the importance of agriculture in driving economic growth, job creation, and community development in Ejigbo LCDA.

    He noted that his administration has launched initiatives like the “Oja Oko Scheme” to empower farmers, promote agribusiness, and enhance food production.

    “As we commemorate World Food Day 2025, themed “Hand in Hand for Better Food and a Better Future,” I extend warm greetings to all residents of Ejigbo LCDA — especially our hardworking farmers who remain the backbone of our local economy”

    In order to deliver healthy and delicious meals to empower young minds for academic excellence,the Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA is set to launch “Jako Jollof,” a free-food program aimed at providing nutritious meals to students in Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye.

    The initiative, spearheaded by Hon Jakande is set to benefit students across all 28 public primary schools.

    Investigator news reports that JAKO has been training food vendors to ensure the program’s success as the initiative embodies Jakande’s commitment to community development and his vision for a healthier, more prosperous Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye.

    The Jako Jollof initiative under the auspices of the HEWA agenda, would commence on Friday 17, October 2025 and is set to bring joy and nutritious meals to public school pupils every Friday.

    Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun, Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria on their resounding 4-0 victory over Benin Republic in the FIFA World Cup qualifier.

    In a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary Mr Biodun Ayodele,Hon Kareem stated that the victory of the Super Eagles was as a result of hardwork and dedication.

    “I am thrilled to congratulate the Super Eagles on their impressive win over Benin Republic,” Hon. Kareem said.

    “This victory is a testament to the team’s hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence. I believe that with this momentum, the team will go on to achieve great things in the playoffs and beyond.”

    The Chairman went further to express his administration’s commitment to promoting sporting development in Oto-Awori LCDA.

    “As we celebrate this victory, we are reminded of the importance of nurturing and supporting talented individuals in our community. We plan to encourage and uplift sporting development in our council area, providing opportunities for our youth to excel in sports and make us proud.”

    Hon. Kareem cited the examples of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Tobi Amusan, who have made Nigeria proud on the global stage. “We are proud to see our own making waves in the world of sports. We will do everything possible to support and encourage our athletes to reach new heights.”

    The Chairman concluded by wishing the Super Eagles continued success and victory in the playoffs. “We are behind you all the way! May Allah bless our team with continued success and guide them to victory.”

    Hon. Kareem’s message was met with jubilation in Oto-Awori LCDA, as sports enthusiasts and community leaders alike hailed the Super Eagles’ victory and looked forward to a brighter future for sports development in the council area.

    In the same vein, the Chairman Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos State, Oto-Awori LCDA Chapter, Chief Emmanuel Ubah (Otunba Ojoto)has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Super Eagles following their emphatic win over the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.

    In a congratulatory message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Comrade Emmanuel Clement noted that the victory, powered by a sensational hat-trick from striker Victor Osimhen and a late goal from midfielder Frank Onyeka, secured Nigeria a place in the CAF playoffs set to take place in Morocco from November 13 to 16, 2025.

    Chief Ubah commended the players for their passion, resilience, and commitment on the pitch, describing the performance in Uyo as a proud moment for Nigerian football.

    “While the mission is not yet complete, I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating this vital win and wishing the team every success in the upcoming playoff,” Chief Ubah stated.

    Ubah who is an aspirant for President Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos State 2026 added that the widespread optimism among Nigerians reflects a deep national belief that the Super Eagles deserve a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

    Investigator news reports that the road had been a source of frustration for residents and motorists, with its poor condition causing traffic congestion and vehicular breakdowns.

    However, following persistent complaints from community members, Hon. Ajomale sprang into action, engaging the Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) to repair the damaged portions.

    In order to revolutionize local agriculture by connecting farmers directly with consumers, stabilizing produce prices,reducing post-harvest losses,and boosting farmers’ income,the Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA),Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo, has inaugurated the newly elected executives of the Ejigbo LCDA Farmers’ Association and launched the “Oja Oko Scheme” (Farmers Mart).

    The scheme aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, prioritizing agriculture as a key tool for job creation, food security, and sustainable economic growth.

    Investigator news reports that after a decade of challenges, the administration of Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo has brought in a fresh and seamless election that midwifed the new Executives, restoring confidence, unity, and purpose among Ejigbo’s farming community.

    In his speech,Aare Taiwo urged stakeholders to collaborate in making Ejigbo a model for grassroots agricultural transformation, noting that “Oja Oko Scheme”is the first brainchild of his administration.

    “The seeds of unity and innovation planted today will yield prosperity for generations to come”he said

    He called on the newly inaugurated executives to pilot and coordinate the initiative, which aims to connect farmers directly with consumers, stabilize produce prices, reduce post-harvest losses, and boost farmers’ income ahead of the World Food Day celebrations.

    The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent officials,including Vice Chairman,Hon. Mrs. Abimbola Nicholas-Ike, Council Manager,Pastor Olusegun Ajagunna, and Mrs. Tunrayo Romoke Falaye,who commended the transparent leadership and grassroots inclusiveness of the LCDA administration.

    Investigator news gathered that the “Oja Oko Scheme”, also referred to as the “Farmers Mart” initiative, is a program launched by the Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) to support local farmers and improve the agricultural sector.

    Aims and objectives of the scheme would be to connect farmers directly with consumers,so as to eliminate middlemen and enable farmers to sell their produce directly to consumers, ensuring better prices for both parties.

    Creating a direct link between farmers and consumers, the scheme seeks to stabilize prices and reduce price volatility and minimize losses that occur after harvesting by providing a platform for farmers to sell their produce promptly.

    In continuation of his commitment to spiritual guidance and inclusive leadership, the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Thursday, 9th October 2025, held the monthly Christian prayer session with leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ikeja Chapter, at the Ikeja House.

    During the prayer meeting, Chairman AKOD expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his courageous reforms which, according to him, have significantly improved the financial standing of local governments across the federation.

    He noted that, “Local governments, being the closest tier of government to the people, now receive improved monthly allocations which have empowered chairmen to deliver more visible and impactful projects at the grassroots.”

    AKOD called on the CAN leaders to offer fervent prayers for President Tinubu for good health, divine wisdom, and protection so that he can continue to advance his bold and transformative agenda for Nigeria.

    He also requested special prayers for the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Senator Idiat Adebule, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Hon. Seyi Lawal, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, the six Councillors, the residents of Ikeja, Lagos State, and Nigeria as a whole.

    The session ended with words of exhortation and unity, as the CAN leaders prayed for peace, progress, and prosperity in Ikeja and the entire nation.
