The Chairman Council of Ndieze Lagos State and the Eze Ndigbo of Ijegun and ljedodo Community,Eze Ambassador Chika .C. Nwokedi has vowed to be a blessing unto others by giving to the less privileged and widows,saying that he is grateful to God almighty for uplifting his status from being a man who has slept in a shop in Ladipo for 7 years and begged for food to survive, rejected for lack of money and good clothes. 
Eze Nwokedi disclosed this when he hosted 180 widows and the less privileged to a Christmas party in his residence where he gave out 10kg of rice in bags,cartons of indomie, some tubers of yam,wrappers,wristwatches, and other items, including cash on Saturday 14 December,2024.
It was a moment of joy and celebration, as the widows converged to receive the Christmas gifts from the Eze Ndigbo of ljegun/ljedodo who has decided to continually put smiles on the faces of the less privileged and widows in the society.
Speaking to newsmen,Eze Nwokedi who is the founder and President of Ndigbo Buru Otu Association of Nigeria stated that he entered into a covenant with God that if he blesses him.and becomes successful in life,he will feed the hungry and assist the less privileged in the society including the widows, stating that as a growing young man he was subjected to abject poverty, struggled to makes end meet and feed himself.
“I slept in the shop for more than 7 years, begged for food in Ladipo market and no one came to my rescue only God. So l made a covenant with God that if he blesses me,l will be touching lives and be a giver”
” Then l engaged myself in hard and manual labor just to survive and God blessed me,l started assisting the less privileged in the society and this gives me joy because l love giving and can give out the last penny in my pocket just to make people laugh.”he said.
The Okpoko 1 of Obodoukwu went further to narrate his success story, pointing out that he is willing to make a difference in his jurisdiction of reign not to show off but to be intentional about favoring the less privileged and widows in the society :
“I am willing to give, after all I went through in the years of struggling, but today a beggar has become a giver,if you have money and you cannot touch or affect lives positively,that money is useless.l cannot buy a car of N30million naira; when I’m aware my neighbor is hungry and because the bible said touch and show love to those that are in need,we should live as large as we want, but make sure the needy feel your impact in their lives; never look down on them; they need help; just help them.”
“The wealthy who can afford to eat and live expensively should endeavor to give charity; do not give to the needy what you cannot eat in your house; show charity by giving scholarships to people’s children so that your own children will also do well in life. Many rich men gave their children the best, yet these children turned out to be non entities in life; moreover, when death calls, a man will be judged according to the work of his hands.”
“This will be the 3rd year of running the widows program as Ezendigbo Ijegun Ijeododo, which is created to celebrate not just the widows but also the widowers and l feel fulfilled whenever l do this.Before l was made the Eze Ndigbo I usually provide for about 20-30 widows and widowers every year but after enthronement, I added more persons from the community, amounting to over 180 widows and widowers.”he submitted
He used the occasion to announce the Eze Okpoko Chika Nwokedi Foundation where he said that he is not soliciting funds from the public to advance the course of his foundation, but anyone who seems it fit to be part of his course can partner willingly with Eze Okpoko Chika Nwokedi Foundation.
Investigator news reports that the event which kick started with prayers for the widows and their family members saw women dancing, offering praises to God for blessing Ndigbo community with a man like Eze Ambassador Chika Nwokedi
Nwokedi urged the widows to pray for continuous flow of God’s blessings in his life and bless their children and the works of their hands,urging the women to shun any act of wickedness against their neighbors, maintain a good relationship with people and as well,follow peace with everyone so they can keep attracting God’s blessings.
For Christmas, Eze Okpoko advised travelers to ensure safety, as he warns those who have ill intentions for Christmas celebrations against their family members or friends to desist from their plans; otherwise, they will be consumed by the pit they have dug for others.
Comrade Prince Saviour Iche, founder of the Ambassadors of Peace and Enlightenment Foundation (Voice of the Voiceless Media),who spoke with newsmen expressed his admiration for Eze Chika Nwokedi, stating that the act of showing magnanimity to widows, widowers, and the less privileged is worth emulating
” Eze Chika, is a mentor respected for his actions, especially his charitable act; moreover, the exercise witnessed is a challenge to everybody, for there are more blessings in giving.He is not the richest, yet he keeps to his promise for the widows yearly; meanwhile, many who are rich would rather allow their food to rot away than distribute quality food to the less privileged,of a truth Eze Nwokedi is my role model; his charitable prowess encourages all to put more effort into magnanimity.”he submitted.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke with newsmen expressed gratitude to Eze Nwokedi for his love towards the less privileged and widows in the society.
Mrs Chukwuemeka prayed to God almighty to keep on blessing Eze Nwokedi, provide for him and his family,She said “l feel honored and privileged to be part of this today because this is my first time in partaking in Eze’s Nwokedi Christmas palliatives to widows and my prayers for him,is that God will continually enrich him and his family in Jesus name amen”.
Investigator gathered that the women were further treated in a sumptuous meal and had drinks in excess and gifts to take home.Journalist were not left out in the end of the year party as Eze NW gave food items and gifts to appreciate his media friends
