    Tax Reform Bill: NYCN Isolo launches Sensitization Program.

    The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Isolo Local Branch, has launched a sensitization program on the upcoming tax reforms, aiming to educate leaders and members of Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) and Voluntary Youth Organisations (VYOs) on the new tax laws.

    The event, “The Tax Reform Bills and You”,held on Friday, 19th December 2025 at the Isolo Community Hall, Akinbaiye, Lagos,featured tax experts who addressed misconceptions and grey areas in the bills.

    The National Youth Council of Nigeria,Isolo Chairman, Damilola Kushimo,in his welcome speech stated that the program is aimed to familiarise the youths with the new tax policies and provide answers to questions ahead of the January 1st implementation.

    “This programme is in a testament to our commitment to deliver on the mandate given to us and part of which is to be the vanguard of advocacy and public enlightenment on important policies.”

    “There are a lot of misconceptions about the tax bills, and to forestall the anxiety that has rented the air as we draw closer to January 1st, when the bills will become effective, there is a need to deepen grassroots enlightenment hence the need for this programme.”

    “There is no denying that the attendees have bettered their understanding of the tax bills, and it is our expectation that they will pass the knowledge on to other members of their respective associations,” Kushimo said.

    He appreciated the Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Hon. Olasoju Adebayo, for his immense contributions towards the success of the programme, as well as other stakeholders who supported the event.

    Speaking with newsmen,the State Chairman of the youth umbrella body, Engr. Adigun Ibrahim Olalekan,who was ably represented by the Vice Chairman, Lagos West, Comrade David Aladeotan, commended the local branch for domesticating public enlightenment on the new fiscal policy, recalling a similar programme organised by the state chapter earlier in the year.

    Adigun went further to commend the Kushimo-led executives for hitting the ground running without much ado and urged them to work tirelessly to deliver on their administrative responsibilities.

    The Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Seyi Lawal Jakande, has commissioned several community projects, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of residents.

    The commissioned projects include roads, a football arena, and other infrastructure developments aimed at enhancing the quality of life in the local government area.

    In his keynote speech, Jakande emphasized the administration’s focus on healthcare, education, infrastructure, youth development, and community welfare.

    He highlighted notable achievements, including a free medical outreach, provision of free eye medical care, and support for education through initiatives like the pre-GCE qualifying exams and tech boot camps.

    “This occasion serves as a symbol of our collective vision and commitment. It is a testament to accountability, partnership, and tangible progress. Over the past few months,our mission has been resolute: to offer practical solutions to the urgent needs of our community. We have dedicated ourselves to enhancing healthcare, education, infrastructure, youth development, and community welfare.”

    “Our development trajectory continues to align with our HEWA Agenda, and we are proud of our modest achievements. In the health sector, we constructed a primary healthcare center at Kayode, procured a fully-equipped ambulance for emergencies, and organized a free medical outreach in partnership with Eko Club Atlanta, serving over 1,000 residents. Currently, we are providing free eye medical care with glasses and medications to nearly 1,000 residents in partnership with the Precious sight foundation UK.”

    “In education, we conducted pre-GCE qualifying exams for 1,000 students and provided GCE forms and registration for 250 indigent students. Our summer tech boot camp has equipped 60 young minds with essential digital skills, and our “Back to School, Back to Pocket” initiative has provided free school bags, complete exercise books, and stationery to pupils in all primary schools. ”

    “Furthermore, we have improved the free school ride program, sponsored a spelling bee competition, and launched the “One Day Chairman” program to enhance civic engagement among our youth. Additionally, the tertiary indigent students are not left behind, we are giving out  bursary awards to 250 tertiary students who have shown a good performance and dedication in their academic pursuit.”he said

    The Chairman went further to outlined some ongoing projects, such as road and drainage reconstruction, installation of solar-powered lights and CCTV cameras, and empowerment programs for youths and women.

    “In works and infrastructure, we constructed and rehabilitated boreholes across all wards to ensure access to clean water. Road and drainage reconstruction is in progress at Akala, Adedoja, Igbarere, Ashaoku, Damengoro to Shokunbi, Industrial crescent, Oladipo Shonde, and Ade Akinsanya Streets.”

    “Our installation of solar-powered lights and CCTV cameras enhances security, while a brand-new generator we procured ensures uninterrupted council operations. Our solar charging stations have empowered youths as kiosk administrators as well as providing reliable power access to residents”Jakande stated.

    Speaking on the constructed modern 5 A-side football pitch, Jakande said,”For youth and sports development, we constructed a modern 5-A-side football field to provide a safe environment for recreation and talent development.”

    “We have successfully completed the Chairman’s Cup, engaging 50 teams and 800 players across five categories. We hosted the inaugural SJ Football Competition in celebration of Nigeria’s independence on the 1st October and we sponsored the DFA Women’s League to support gender balance and we have included people with disabilities in our annual sports fiesta.”

    He further disclosed the formation of a joint security task force comprising police divisions, the OTEC team, vigilantes and hunters to tackle crime in the area.

    In agriculture and community development, the chairman said the council sustained its discounted agricultural produce scheme and sponsored World Food Day 2025. He also noted that the council supported Isese Day celebrations as part of efforts to promote cultural heritage and peaceful coexistence.

    Jakande emphasized the importance of community involvement in sustaining the projects and expressed gratitude to stakeholders and residents for their support.

    Community leaders and Political stakeholders present at the occasion praised Hon Jakande continuity-driven governance, likening it to his late father’s legacy of swift service delivery.

    Among those who spoke include the immediate Past Executive Chairman,Hon Ajala  Rasak,Hon Lekan Fatodu(DG  Lagos State sports commission),Hon Cornelius Ojelabi ably represented by the State Secretary who led 18 members of the State Exco to the occasion,LGA Party Chairman;Mr Tumkaz;NYCN State Coordinator,Engr Adigun;Prince Abiodun Ogunleye; Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun (GAC Member); Oba Fatai Aileru (Olu of Mushinland) among others.

    Speaking with newsmen, the immediate Past Executive Chairman,Hon Ajala Rasak stated that the modest achievements recorded by Hon Jakande’s administration is a welcome development that gladdens his heart and that of the youths that constitutes 55% of the local government.

    ” I well pleased with the purpose leadership, passion and commitment to governance that Hon Jakande has demonstrated within his first 100 days in office and given the support and role he played when he was my Voice Chairman and now that he is at the helm of affairs,he has done excellently well.”he said.

    He went further to assure the residents of more developmental projects in the coming year “Today we are celebrating modest achievements,by this time next year,we shall be celebrating giants stride through the execution of various elephants projects that would spread across the 9 political wards in Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA ”

    The Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission,Hon Lekan Fatodu applauded the Executive Chairman for doing an exceptional and great developmental projects that are rooted and potentially profitable and rewarding for the community especially the youths.

    Fatodu said “When we have a community that is peaceful and united,we must understand that their is a role that sports is playing to direct wrong ideology into the right ideology so as to shape talents in such a way that it can turn to socio economic benefits not to individuals who are involved in sports but to the community in general ”

    “We have seen young people who would have gone into the wrong place but because of the sports infrastructure being provided by the local government and leadership by Hon Seyi Jakande,we have come to realize that talents is identified, nurtured, repositioned for greater things,so the Sports Commission is a saying a big thank you to Hon Jakande for keeping the feat and also we encourage him to more in this trajectory.”

    Lending his voice,the Lagos State Coordinator National Youth Council of Nigeria,Engr Adigun Olalekan Ibrahim said that the commissioning of the sports complex is a tactical demonstration, purpose empowerment of engaging young people of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA.

    Adigun who is also the Chairman of all Chairmen National Youth Council of Nigeria said,”one of the fastest making economic machine in the country is sports and football is something that drives the youth and what the Chairman has done is to build the stadium for the greater youths of young people people in Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye so that together we can build, create and develop youths to be like the Osimhen,Jay Jay Okocha,Iheanacho and the likes and because the Chairman believes in the strength and energy of young people,it must be converted into a purposeful engagement and empowerment for them.”

    He went further to commend the Chairman for building the sports edifice within his six months into office, organized ICT trainings to over 500 youths, organized the sports fiesta that accommodated over 10,000 youths and scholarships bursary to university students in Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA.

    The State Secretary of All Progressive Congress, Lagos State,Dr Adeola Jokomba who led 18 members of the State Exco to the event representing the State Chairman,Hon Cornelius Ojelabi thanked the Chairman for not putting the party into shame as he has made the party and the good people of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA proud.

    He went further to sensitize the residents of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA on the importance of securing their permanent voters card PVCs, while appealing to the people to continually support the Chairman,Hon Jakande,Mr Babajide Sanwo Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State and the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu so that more dividends of democracy would be greatly seen in the local government.

    Earlier, the Head of Department for Works and infrastructure noted that the projects are not just structures but game changers for the community, thereby boosting connectivity service and quality of life.

    He commended the Chairman for putting up such edifice, praying that God will continually grant him more wisdom to pilot the affairs of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, while urging the residents of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye to always pray for the administration.

    Highlight of the event was the commissioning of the sports complex, assisted by the former chairman,Hon Ajala,his mom (former wife of the Executive Governor) Mrs Jakande and Prince Abiodun Ogunleye; Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun (GAC Member).

    The grand finale of the 2025 Odi-Olow/Ojuwoye Sports Fiesta Season 4, was a thrilling display of sportsmanship and entertainment, with Ward A2 emerging victorious against Ward A1 with a 4:2 win in a thrilling final.

    The fiesta which featured games like Video game,Ayo olopon,Draught,Card game,Table tennis,Snooker,boxing.and special sports for PWD.

    The football match which was the climax of the tournament was played at the constructed modern 5 A-side football pitch in Nusara-Ud-Deen School,Ayantuga in Odi Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA.

     

    With close to One thousand spectators gathering at the mini stadium for the closing ceremony grand finale, the match between Ward A2 and Ward A1 delivered a pulsating and entertaining event that was similar to what’s obtainable in an  European UEFA Champions League final with Ward A2’s technical prowess shine through, with the goal keeper Majedokunmin scoring the first goal in the 15mins into the first half.

    The match was a nail-biter from start to finish, with both teams trading goals in the first half to end 2-2.  The goalkeepers’ early strikes had the crowd on the edge of their seats, foreshadowing a match filled with goals and drama.

    Damilola from Ward A2 scored the second goal, while Michael Monday equalized, thereby  setting the tone for an exciting second half.

    In the second half, Ward A2 dominated the match scoring two unanswered goals to secure the victory with Damilola Idowu scoring his second goal and breaking the deadlock in the second half with a brilliant double-dribble strike.Bashorun Toheeb extended the lead with another goal due to a defensive error led by the goal keeper

    With the referees Pelumi and Wahab blowing the final whistle at around 4pm,fans of the luckiest Ward A2 took over the field in jubilation of their team’s triumph to rejoice with the players and officials.

    Investigator news reports that the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Sports Fiesta Season 4 reached its thrilling conclusion with the other games already decided on Tuesday 16, December 2025 at the Council Secretariat.

    Games Decided:

    Video game was between Mutiu from (Ward C2) and Olamide Paul (Ward B1),where Mutiu was defeated by Olamide Paul two consecutive times by 2:0

    Draught:Israel Obi(Ward C1A) and Pa Olaoye (Ward C1B) and the winner was Israel Bassey

    Other Winners are Ademola Olasunkanmi(Ward B2,Ayo Olopon),Oluwatosin Seydu(Ward C3 took the second position),Luqman Tunde (Ward B1, Snooker) and Wasiu Abisoye of (Ward C2 took the second position).

    In the 52 Card game,Olayiwola Jimoh of 12 Barrister Club(Ward A2) emerge as the winner, while Ajibade Funso Hammed of Aletile and Mr Basheer took the second and third position.

    The Boxing category:

    30kg Category –Kaleed Adio(First), Michael Fatokun(second position)

    47kg Category —Bolarinwa Emmanuel (First),Kilanko Koyum(second position)

    86kg Category —Micheal Olomitutu (First), Tunde Taofik(second position).

    The Executive Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government, Hon. Ademola Bello, has presented a N7,082,870,940 budget to the council legislatures, focusing on improving residents’ living standards through social development, infrastructure, and economic growth.

    The budget, tagged “Budget of Hope and Prosperity”, aims to improve the living standard of Mopamuro residents, focusing on social development, infrastructure, youth and women empowerment.

    Investigator news reports that the Council boss highlighted key allocations to Personnel cost(N1,787,947,930), Overhead cost(N1,814,297,570)and capital project (N3,480,625,440).

    He assured citizens of his administration’s commitment to prioritising their welfare, ensuring timely payment of salaries, and enhancing the overall quality of life.

    Bello noted that the budget target key areas, including Infrastructure Development such as upgrading of  roads, markets, and public facilities.

    Social Development by enhancing education, healthcare, and social services,

    Economic Growth by empowering youth and women, promoting entrepreneurship, and attracting investments and security by strengthening local security architecture to ensure a safe environment.

    The Council boss reassured residents of his commitment to neutralizing criminal activities and urged citizens to join hands with his administration to make Mopamuro an exemplary local government.

    He praised Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his outstanding achievements and support in strengthening local government security architecture.

    Responding,the Legislative Council Leader, Rt. Hon. Odunayo Olupeka, pledged the council’s support for the budget’s successful implementation, promising thorough oversight and transparency.

    The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has presented the Year 2026 Appropriation Bill, themed “Budget of Better Days 1.0,” to the Ikeja Legislative Council.

    The budget,totaling ₦13,923,882,601.48, focuses on people-centered development and fiscal discipline.

    Presenting the budget, Comrade AKOD explained that the 2026 budget proposal is the outcome of broad consultations, including community stakeholders’ engagement and a budget retreat, aimed at ensuring inclusiveness, transparency, and alignment with the developmental needs of the people of Ikeja.

    He disclosed that the total budget size for the 2026 fiscal year is ₦13,923,882,601.48.

    According to him, Recurrent Expenditure stands at ₦7,350,523,690.96, representing 52.8% of the budget, and is targeted at effective administration, personnel welfare, and seamless service delivery.

    While Capital Expenditure is projected at ₦6,573,358,910.52, accounting for 47.2%, and is designed to drive visible and sustainable development across the Local Government.

    AKOD went further to outline the sectoral distribution of the capital expenditure, stating that 26.8% is allocated to Works and Infrastructure, 7.09% to Education, 4.08% to Environment, 4.80% to Health, while 5.03% is earmarked for other human capital development sectors, including youth empowerment, women development, and social welfare programmes.

    He emphasized that the Budget of Better Days 1.0 is people-focused and development-driven, assuring that his administration remains committed to fiscal discipline, accountability, and value-for-money in the execution of all projects and programmes.

    Responding,the Councillors, led by the Leader of the House, Hon. Ogunseye Rasheed Adisa, commended the Chairman for the clarity and people-oriented nature of the budget and pledged to fast-track the vetting and approval process in the interest of the people of Ikeja Local Government.

    Present at the budget presentation were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Abisola Omisore; the Management Staff led by the Council Manager, Mrs. Juliana Taiwo Odubeko; the Head of Department, Budget, Dr. Anita Yemisi Razak.

    Others are Heads of Departments and Units of the Local Government; as well as party leaders and members of the Ikeja LGA Executive Committee led by the LGA Chairman, Alhaji Adekunle Dally-Adeokun, and his Vice Chairman, Prince Oluranti Olufon.

    Also in attendance were APC Apex Leaders, including Chief Funso Ologunde, Apostle Olowoporoku, and a host of other respected party leaders. The event was further graced by the presence of the Lagos State APC Assistant Legal Adviser, Barrister Ladigbolu.

    Hundreds of residents of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA gathered at Kings Bar on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, to benefit from a 3-day free eye medical treatment program launched by the Executive Chairman, Hon Jakande Seyi, in partnership with Precious Sight Foundation.

    Investigator news reports that the exercise would cover free medical prescription, free lenses and frame including professional consultations, prescription and reading glasses, and medications all at no cost for the poor and vulnerable.

    The initiative, organized in partnership with the Precious Sight Foundation, has provided hundreds of residents with essential ophthalmic services, including professional consultations, prescription and reading glasses, and medications—all at no cost.

    Speaking with newsmen,Hon Jakande emphasized that the outreach aligns with his administration’s HEWA Agenda, which prioritises “Service to the People” as a foundation for “Prosperity for All.”

    He noted that the essence of the 3 days free medical outreach is part of his continued medical support to the people of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, noting that the program was designed to ensure that no resident is left behind in accessing basic health services, particularly in specialized areas like eye care.

    He said that the target audience for three days is over 1,500 persons as he promised to continually provide and promotes programs that would be of great beneficiary to the people of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye.

    “It will be recalled that few weeks ago,we had a medical outreach with EKO Atlantic from the United States of America where we had an extensive medical examination and treatment for residents,so this is a continuous program and the people would witness more”

    “Our goal is simple: to bring healthcare closer to the people and make it accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic status. This outreach is part of a broader vision to improve quality of life in our communities,”

    ” This program is going to run for 3 days with medical doctors being on ground to attend to the patients and for those whose cases might be beyond what we targeted in terms of free medical care,we are re- partner with another agency where the patients might need surgical procedures and when such case escalated back to us,we would ensure that they get the required attention ” he said

    Jakande used the occasion to thanked the people for their continued support to his administration , while noting that he would continue to ensure that all the electorates promises comes to reality, while wishing them a merry Christmas and a happy new year in advance.

    According to him, the beneficiaries requiring surgery would be referred to the hospital”Good vision is essential for daily life, education, and work.     Speaking with some of the beneficiaries,Mrs Mopelola commended the Chairman for his large-heartedness,describing Hon Jakande as ‘a fantastic man’ who had been doing well for the people of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye since his assumption into office”

    Another beneficiary, Mr Oludare Okeleye also commended Jakande for having the heart of giving and taking care of people’s health.

    “I don’t think we can have anybody who can match his record in terms of prioritising people’s welfare.It was because of him that I went to collect my permanent voter card (PVC),” he said.

    A security man with Kings Bar,Mr Gbenga Christopher who also benefited from the eye test, commended the Chairman for his kind gesture.

    He said: “I remember the programme he organised at the council secretariat recently,it was awesome, though I could not attend due to the nature of my job but thank God that he brought this to my domain.

    He noted that the current economic reality had prevented many people from checking their health status, saying that the programme had helped some to know the state of their health.

    Investigator news reports that the Chairman and the Vice Chairman,underwent an eye test publicly, underscoring their hands-on approach to governance.

    Investigator news also gathered that the beneficiaries went rejoicing as they urge the chairman to make it a quarterly event as the three-day eye care program will conclude on Thursday, December 18, 2025, and has already earned widespread praise from residents, reinforcing Jakande’s reputation for delivering practical, people-focused governance

    In another development,the Chairman went on an inspection to Damegoro street where his administration is constructing a new drainage system and a new road.

    “Damegoro Street, off, Shokunbi Street Drainage and Road Construction is moving fast and shaping up to become what the residents of Damegoro Street and beyond will start enjoy”he said

    The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has received accolades from the Ikeja Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) for his outstanding performance in office.

    The PCRC delegation, led by Patron Otunba Anthony Isaac and Chairman Chief Anthony Obi, commended AKOD for his commitment to human capital development, enhanced security, and promotion of businesses in Ikeja.

    They commended him for his sterling performance within a short period in office and congratulated him on the successful celebration of his 100 Working Days in Office.

    Responding,AKOD expressed appreciation for the PCRC’s dedication to fostering safer communities and emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration to strengthen security architecture in the local government.

    He emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration and synergy between the Committee and the Local Government, especially in the areas of effective community intelligence gathering and strengthened security architecture to further safeguard lives and property within the local government.

    The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Lagos State,Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo on Monday 15, December 2025, formally presented the Year 2026 Appropriation Bill of ₦12,905,971,987.45 to the 6th Legislative Council at the Ejigbo LCDA Legislative Chamber, Lagos.

    The proposed budget, aptly tagged “Budget of Renewed Hope and Accountability is aimed at consolidating development gains while repositioning the local government for sustainable growth and improved service delivery.

    The presentation was made before the House, ably led by the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Oluwaseyi Shobande, in the presence of other honourable members, top management staff, and political stakeholders in the local government.

    In his address,Aare TAT expressed profound appreciation to the Legislative Arm for its consistent support and cooperation since the inception of his administration, noting that such synergy remains critical to democratic governance.

    Presenting the budget, the Executive Chairman stated that the 2026 fiscal year represents a consolidation and advancement phase, designed to deepen service delivery, strengthen institutions, and ensure prudent management of public resources in line with best practices in public finance.

    According to him, the budget framework is strategically aligned with the administration’s SHIELD Agenda, which prioritises Security, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Education and Youth Development, Environmental Sustainability, Local Economic Empowerment, and Digital Governance as the pillars for sustainable growth and inclusive development in Ejigbo LCDA.

    Aare TAT went further to state that the budget underscores his resolve to translate policies into measurable outcomes, strengthen institutions and deepen transparency and accountability in the management of public resources.

    Presenting the financial details,Aare TAT stated that the total proposed budget for 2026 stands at ₦12,905,971,987.45 comprising ₦6,061,814,528.09 for recurrent expenditure and ₦6,844,157,459.36 for capital expenditure.

    He noted that significant attention has been given to security and public safety, with planned investments in solar-powered street lighting to deter crime and improve night time safety, strengthen community-based intelligence structures, peace-building mechanisms, and enhanced collaboration with security agencies and invest in rapid response system so as to guarantee a safer environment for residents and businesses.

    The Council boss assured residents that his administration’s SHIELD agenda would be implemented more vigorously as he disclosed that his administration would place strong emphasis on the rehabilitation and equipping of Primary Health Centres, deploy modern diagnostic technologies so as to improve accuracy and efficiency, guaranteed access to essential drugs, expansion of maternal and child health programmes, community immunisation drives, and free antenatal and postnatal services for vulnerable residents.

    “These interventions will improve life expectancy, reduce preventable deaths, and enhance productivity.”he said.

    Highlighting achievements recorded within the short period of his administration, Aare Taiwo opined that environmental management and education remains a core priority, with planned interventions in waste evacuation, desilting of drains, erosion control, sanitation campaigns, and greening and beautification projects aimed at promoting a healthier and more resilient Ejigbo, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to human capital development, with provisions for school renovation, free examination preparatory programmes, vocational and technical skills training, ICT partnerships, and structured youth empowerment and innovation initiatives, noting that his objective is to nurture globally competitive, digitally fluent and socially responsible youths.

    The proposed capital programme also focuses on infrastructural modernisation, including the construction and rehabilitation of roads, drainage expansion and flood-control measures, extension of public lighting, renovation of public schools, and the upgrade of community and civic facilities across the LCDA.

    The council boss also highlighted local economic development and empowerment, revealing plans for soft grants and micro-support schemes for traders and artisans, strengthening of market infrastructure, support for small and medium enterprises, and improved digital revenue systems to boost Internally Generated Revenue without placing additional burden on residents.

    Emphasising transparency and efficiency, he stated that the administration would continue to expand digital governance initiatives, including automated revenue collection, digital service platforms, enhanced institutional communication, and increased citizen participation in governance.

    The chairman assured the market leaders,religious leaders, CDA executives, and residents that all sectors of their requests would be addressed, while calling on members of the Legislative Council to give the bill timely and patriotic consideration.

    Responding,Hon Oluwaseyi Shobande, legislative leader, assured that they would promptly review and start implementing the budget.

    He commended the chairman for the early presentation of the budget to the house.

    Earlier, before the presentation,a minute silence was observed to honor one the administrative staff who passed away after a brief illness.

    Highlight of the event was the presentation of the budget to the leader of the 6th Legislative Council.
