    The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has launched a major drainage desilting exercise as part of efforts to keep the area clean and safe.

    Investigator news reports that this move is aimed at ensuring the free flow of water and waste, reducing flooding, and enhancing environmental sanitation.

    TAT’s administration sees this as part of its broader agenda to entrench the Renewed Hope vision at the grassroots level through practical and people-centered governance.

    In a statement released by his Media handlers,Aare TAT emphasized that environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility,urging residents to maintain clean surroundings and use PSP operators for waste disposal.

    This project is aimed to improve drainage and prevent flooding during heavy rains, reflecting Jakande’s commitment to creating safer environments for residents.

    Jakande remarked, “The desilting is crucial for public safety and infrastructure, enhancing our drainage system to mitigate flooding risks.” The work involved clearing debris from the waterways, improving their capacity and aesthetics.

    The Executive Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Seyi Jakande, has commissioned the newly rehabilitated Adegboyega and Adelakun Streets,marking a significant milestone in his HEWA agenda.

    The event was attended by residents, community leaders, and dignitaries, who praised Jakande’s commitment to transforming their neighborhood.

    In his address, Jakande emphasized that the road project was not just about infrastructure, but about dignity and improving the quality of life for resident, noting that the road project was a campaign promise fulfilled.

    He urged the community to take responsibility for maintaining the roads and assured them that the materials used would ensure their longevity.

    “This isn’t just about roads—it’s about dignity. It’s about ensuring our children don’t miss school during the rains, our traders aren’t stranded, and our elderly can move freely. This is a collective victory for Òdì-Olowo.”

    “The quality of materials used will ensure these roads last long,” he assured the crowd

    Chief Imam Rafiu Ajibola of Adegboyega Street praised the chairman for the benefits his leadership has brought to the street in his first 100 days.

    Also Pastor Akinsanya, a resident of Adelakun Street, passionately highlighted Jakande’s proactive leadership, emphasizing his achievements during this period.

    Elders and members of the Community Development Association (CDA) commended the chairman for his commitment to the community,stressing that hard work begets more work, while praying for God’s strength for him.

    They urged the chairman to focus on street beautification, particularly at night.

    Other residents also expressed their gratitude.

    Mrs. Aisha Ogunleye,a local trader, said”These roads have changed everything! No more potholes, no more vehicles stuck in mud. Seyi Jakande kept his word.”

    Another resident, reflecting on the legacy of the Jakande family, expressed, “The Jakande legacy lives on. This is what we voted for.

    For Mr. Thompson Igri, the new Chairman of Road Enforcement in Adegboyega, thanked Jakande for the good job.

    Highlighting the historical significance of the event, he noted that the last road construction in the area was completed in 1982 by late Alhaji Lateef Jakande, the first Executive Governor of Lagos State.

    In his words, “A lion must give birth to a lion,” affirming that Jakande’s father’s legacy continues in Hon Seyi Jakande’s bold governance.

    He expressed no surprise at the progress made in just 100 days, suggesting it was unique to the Jakande’s leadership.

    Investigator news reports that the projects feature durable asphalt, clear lane markings, and pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, and are part of the phase one projects totaling 14 roads.

    Jakande assured that more roads, drainage, and public spaces would be tackled in the community, with no one left behind.

    The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD),on Monday 10, November 2025,presided over the monthly Peace and Security Council Meeting held at his Ikeja House Office.

    The meeting was well attended by all Heads of Security Agencies operating within the local government, alongside key community stakeholders,including the Regent of Ikeja,representative of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN),and  the League of Imams.

    Investigator news reports that the security chiefs provided comprehensive briefings on the security situation across Ikeja, highlighting major developments, challenges encountered, and progress achieved in maintaining law and order.

    In his message, Comrade AKOD commended the security agencies for their efforts in ensuring safety of lives and property, and for sustaining the relative peace Ikeja continues to enjoy.

    He urged them to remain vigilant and proactive, assuring them of his administration’s unwavering support and collaboration in addressing security concerns.

    The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Lateef Ashimi, has issued a passionate call for intensified collaboration between parents, teachers, and the community to significantly improve student confidence and discipline across schools in the domain.

    Hon. Ashimi made this appeal when he received the forum at the helm and was also honoured with an Excellence Award for his utmost dedication to educational growth as the first youthful chairman of Somolu.

    According to him,”We must collectively work to build a supportive environment where every child feels seen, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

    “Also, discipline is the foundation upon which academic excellence is built,”he said.

    He went further to urge the forum’s recipients drew from different regions to maintain consistent, positive, and firm guidance.

    The Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended Hon. Seyi Jakande, the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, for his impactful first 100 days in office.

    A delegation led by the LCDA party Chairman, Hon. Ismail Babatunde (TUNKAZ), visited Jakande to express their appreciation for his leadership and the strides made in his initial months

    During the visit, Babatunde praised Jakande’s performance, stating that his achievements have kept the party’s reputation intact.

    “We have come to appreciate your outstanding performance in office,” Babatunde stated.

    Babatunde presented a symbolic roll-up banner to Jakande, celebrating his accomplishments and expressing the party’s support for his continued efforts.

    Responding,Jakande expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged to continue working for the betterment of the community.

    Hon. Seyi Jakande, the Executive Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, was honoured with an award of appreciation from the Eko Club Atlanta during their annual appreciation award night.

    The award which was presented at the club’s annual appreciation award night, held at Watercress Hotel, Ikeja Lagos, on November 6 was to recognized his outstanding leadership and commitment to community service, particularly his efforts in facilitating a successful medical outreach program that provided free healthcare services to residents of the community.

    Receiving and dedicating the award to the people of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye,Hon. Jakande expressed his gratitude for the award and reiterated his commitment to continuing to work with community organizations to address the needs of his constituents.

    “We must continue to work together,” he said. “This partnership with Eko Club Atlanta is just the beginning of our commitment to the community’s health and welfare.”

    The Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA),Hon. Seyi Jakande,has marked 100 days in office with a slew of achievements that have positively impacted the lives of residents.

    In his stewardship report released by his Media handlers,Hon. Jakande highlighted the administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises through the HEWA Agenda

    The report showcases significant progress in healthcare, education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and security.

    The release went on to say that the administration of Hon Jakande has constructed a Primary Health Care Center on Kayode Street,made healthcare services free at all PHCs,and partnered with EKO Club Atlanta to deliver free medical outreach services to over 1,000 community members.

    Additionally,the LCDA has acquired a state-of-the-art Toyota ambulance to enhance emergency services.

    In education, the administration has sponsored the GCE registration for 250 indigent students, empowered 1,000 students through the Pre-GCE qualifying exams, and equipped 600 students with essential skills in the tech industry through the Summer Tech Boot Camp.

    Hon. Jakande expressed his gratitude to the residents for their support and trust in the administration, assuring them that the LCDA will continue to serve with integrity, transparency, and accountability.

    “I am happy to present to you my stewardship report as our administration marks a significant milestone—100 days in office.”

    “Over the past 100 days, we have worked tirelessly to deliver on our promises through our HEWA Agenda.”

    “We have invested in infrastructural development by constructing and rehabilitating roads, drainages, and boreholes in various locations—ensuring access to clean water for our residents”

    Investigator news reports that Jakande has also initiated various programs aimed at empowering youth,including the “One Day Chairman” program and the inaugural “Back to School, Back to Pocket” initiative, which provided all government school pupils with free school bags, exercise books, and other stationery.

    The JAKO JOLLOF program provided free school meals for primary school pupils while empowering food vendors and supervisors.

    In sports development, the administration has sponsored several tournaments, including the Odi Olowo Chairman’s Cup Season 5 and the 1st SJ Football Championship.

    Speaking further,Hon Jakande noted that his administration has also prioritized security, establishing a joint task force to combat crime and installing solar-powered lights and CCTV cameras to enhance security.

    “The administration has also distributed solar charging stations across the 9 wards, empowering youths as kiosk administrators and facilitating access to free and reliable power for community residents.”

    “Furthermore, our administration has procured a brand-new 275 kVa generator to ensure seamless administrative functions at the council secretariat.”

    “We sponsored World Food Day 2025 with the theme “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future.”

    “Our administration has established open engagement with all traditional rulers—Obas and Baales—in the council, fostering peaceful coexistence and cooperation to uphold our cultural and traditional heritage. We also sponsored Isese Day 2025.”

    “As we celebrate the achievements of our first 100 days in office, it is evident that our commitment to the HEWA Agenda remains steadfast. Our slogan, “Service to the People.”

    “Prosperity for All,” is not merely a phrase; it is a promise, a commitment, and the guiding principle that directs every decision we make.”

    The Executive Chairman of Oto-Aoori Local Council Development Area, Hon. Kareem Azeeza Abiodun, has pledged to support the Queen of Hearts Chess Academy in its mission to promote chess and leadership skills among young Nigerians.

    The Chairman stated this when the academy paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman at the Council secretariat on Wednesday 5, November 2025.

    Hon.Abiodun expressed his delight at the visit and assured the academy of his unwavering support.

    “Our commitment to youth development is unwavering and we will do everything possible to support initiatives that empower our young people,” he said.

    He commended the academy for its initiative and commitment to promoting sports and educational development in the community.

    Earlier,the founder and Director of the academy, Mrs. Olawoyin Mojisola Olutade,in her address expressed her admiration for the Chairman’s leadership style, which she said was a source of inspiration for the academy.

    She stated that the visit aimed at learning from the Chairman’s approach to governance and leadership, with a view to mentoring the young trainees of the academy to become better persons in the future.

    Mrs. Olutade went further to explain that the academy’s vision is to raise young Nigerians who are practical, analytical and solution-oriented, with a focus on building a mutually benefiting society.

    She noted that the academy which offers free training to its trainees is looking to partner with the Council to achieve its objectives.

    “The academy plans to establish centers in all the wards of the LCDA and to involve the Council in its activities, including sports-related events at the state and federal government levels.”she stated.

    The Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA,Hon. Seyi Jakande has appointed Prince Adeyemi Lateef Akinsemoyin as the new Director-General of the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Transportation and Environmental Corps (OTEC).

    The appointment  is with immediate effect as from Wednesday 5,November 2025 according to the release sent to Investigator news.

    Investigator news reports that Prince Akinsemoyin would bring his wealth of experience and an impressive educational background to this pivotal role.

    He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing Management and a Post Graduate Degree in Management from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, where he furthered his expertise from 2019 to 2022.

    His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, complemented by a solid foundation in his early education at St. Paul Anglican Primary School and Akintan Grammar School, Surulere.

    With previous experience spanning notable roles, Hon. Lateef served as the Protection & Protocol Manager at K-square Multidimensional Limited, further honing his leadership skills and strategic oversight.

    He has been integral to the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, having held positions as Supervisor for Education and Supervisor for Environment, where he demonstrated his commitment to community development and environmental sustainability.

    In his new capacity as Director-General, Hon. Lateef is expected to spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing transportation systems and promoting environmental stewardship within the community.

    His vision aligns with the goals of the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA to improve the quality of life for all residents.

    Hon Jakande in his remarks expressed confidence in Hon. Lateef’s abilities, stating that his appointment will bring a fresh perspective and strategic leadership to the corps.

    “I believe that with his vast experience and educational qualifications, Hon. Lateef will effectively lead our efforts to develop a more efficient transportation network and foster a cleaner environment for our community,” he remarked.
