    Ndị Anambra, what is a festive season celebration without a blockbuster music concert? The season won’t be complete and memorable! But with the ongoing Onwa D’zemba extravaganza, you are in for the baddest music concert of the year on December 30 at 5pm. This is just tomorrow here!

    On that day, Ọnwa D’zemba will rock Awka to its musical foundations with the Flavour Home Coming Concert at Solution Fun City. This is where our very own highlife king, Flavour N’abania, returns to his roots to give us the performance of the season. So, hold your phones, charge your speakers, and brace your dancing shoes because the musical moment we have all been waiting for in this festive run is almost here.

    This free concert, powered by the Anambra State Government, will indeed be a homecoming coronation for a son of the soil.

    Flavour, the man who turned Igbo highlife into global anthems, who gave us timeless bangers like ‘Ada Ada,’ ‘Most Beautiful,’ ‘Nwa Baby,’ ‘Kwarikwa,’ and ‘Baby Oku,’ is coming back to Anambra soil to pour out his soul for the people who first loved him.

    Expect a setlist that will take you from nostalgic childhood memories to pure present-day euphoria: soulful ballads that make you sway with loved ones, infectious highlife rhythms that force your waist to move on autopilot, and those electrifying afrobeats fusions that will have everyone singing along.

    Can you imagine the scene at Solution Fun City under the night sky of December 30? Massive stage lights pulsing in rhythm, the crowd already buzzing with excitement, phones up recording every second, and then, the moment Flavour steps out, mic in hand, that signature voice hits the first note. The stadium erupts. Voices unite in chorus. Hands wave in the air. Waists whine in perfect sync.

    It is the kind of energy that turns strangers into family, that makes you forget the time, the heat, everything except the music and the unstoppable bond of Ndị Anambra celebrating one of their own.

    Why must you be there? Because this is more than entertainment; it is pride, it is identity, and it is proof that Anambra produces legends who never forget where they came from. In the middle of Ọnwa Dezemba, after the GenZ city block, the carols, the masquerades, the football thrills, and the children’s joy, this concert is the grand reward to round up the year: a night to scream, dance, sing, and feel fully alive. And again, our music-loving Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has locked down the venue for maximum security and comfort. All that is left is for you to show up in your fancy outfit, bring your family and friends, and prepare to unwind to flavourful rhythms.

    So, December 30 is not optional. It is mandatory. Flavour is coming home, and Ndị Anambra must turn up in numbers that match his legendary status. This is the concert that will be talked about with Ọnwa D’zemba ensemble for a long time to come.

    Nigerian music star Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known as Mr Eazi, has tied the knot with actress Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, in a private wedding in Iceland.

    Investigator news gathered that the ceremony took place at the famous Hallgrímskirkja Church in Reykjavík. The venue was beautifully decorated with flowers and closed to the public to host the intimate event.

    Temi, one of the three daughters of the oil magnate, exchanged vows with the Skin Tight hitmaker in front of close family members and friends.

    Comedian Broda Shaggi posted clips from the wedding on his Instagram Story, showing himself with Mr Eazi and Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote.

    Also present were the bride’s sister, Florence Otedola (DJ Cuppy), and their mother.

    Mr Eazi and Temi got engaged in April 2022 after the actress shared a 38-second proposal video on Instagram.

    The couple had previously said they wanted a small, private wedding — a promise they have now kept.

    As of press time, the newlyweds have not released their official wedding photos.

    Legendary Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or 2Face Idibia, has been appointed as the Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach by Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia.

    The appointment was made public during a meeting between the governor and the music icon.

    Governor Alia who lauded 2Baba’s unwavering dedication to Benue State his state of origin,praised him for his contributions to Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

    “Once you say 2Face, people start dancing even without a song. So we are happy you are here,”

    “On behalf of the Benue State Government and our very good people, we want to give you some more responsibilities, in addition to what you’ve already been doing, because you can do even more.” the Governor stated

    He continued, “You can help us chart the way forward to improve other people’s lives and to gain from your wisdom and advice as well. So I am pleased to announce that we will make you a Technical Adviser to the Governor on Entertainment and Community Outreach.”

    The governor went further to express optimism that 2Baba’s experience in the creative industry would inspire young people across the state and support efforts aimed at community development.

    Investigator news reports that the appointment comes in the wake of recent changes in the singer’s personal life, making headlines.

    In late January, 2Baba confirmed his separation from his estranged wife, actress Annie Idibia.

    Days later, he publicly acknowledged his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker in the Edo State House of Assembly.

    By February, he had proposed to Osawaru, asserting that their relationship was independent of his split from Annie.

    The Face of Ejigbo And Educare Beauty Pageant, is scheduled to hold on Saturday 30,August 2025 at 31, Muyili Oshode Street, Ejigbo, Lagos.

    In a press conference organized by West Coast Connections,organisers of the beauty pageant, announced that entry has commenced without delay,stating that submission of applications closes first week of August 2025 while screening of applicants is scheduled for Monday 23rd of August, 2025 at 31,Muyiliu Oshode Street, Ejigbo Lagos.

    The Convener of the event,Mr Onyekachi Charles explained that the concept of “The Face of Ejigbo and Educare Beauty Pageant”which is an annual beauty pageant is an essential tool to offer scholarship to all the contestants and showcase the aesthetics of the global brand Lagos State which goes beyond showcasing the beauty of our children but also bringing to the fore the essence of continually sustaining our cultural heritage for domestic tourism promotion.

    “The winner for the Junior Category will go home with a cash prize of N100,00, while the Senior Category will take N100,000 as the cash prize,also a scholarship in any of our accredited institution and schools would be given to all contestant ”

    “This beauty pageant show is coming from the stable of the West Coast Connections and will be in collaboration with 7 higher institutions and 2 secondary schools with a registration fee of N2,000 in all categories” he stated.

    Also,the organizers went further to state that the organization is introducing”Queen of the Kitchen Competition ” and Quiz, Debate, Spelling B Competition and bible knowledge” to spice up the event.

    Mr Charles noted that the beauty pageant which is projected positively will promote beauty and brains as the organizers have promised to showcase a distinct beauty pageant to be remembered for a long time, noting that winner of the competition will be going home with the cash prize of N200,000 for cooking competition at 2,000 votes, while the Quiz, Debate, Spelling B and bible knowledge Competition which is open for contestants of 6-18years of age would take the cash prize of N100,000 and N100,000 for the Junior and Senior Category respectively.

    In a congratulatory message signed and released by the Special Adviser to the President on lnformation and Strategy,Mr Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commended the singer for her unique artistry, which has brought pride to Nigeria on the global stage for the second time.

    The President went further to celebrate the rise of a new generation of young and multi-talented Nigerian musical artists who have propelled Afrobeats to international prominence, projecting the country’s reputation as a powerhouse of musical innovation, creativity and cultural influence.

    Idoma International Carnival to Feature First-Ever Nollywood Film Festival

    The President and Founder of the Idoma International Carnival, Chief Dr. Edwin Ochai, has announced that preparations are in full swing for the 2024 edition of the widely celebrated street party, often dubbed the “biggest street party north of the Niger.”

    This year marks the 13th edition of the festival, themed “The Rhythm of Our Heritage.”

    Scheduled to hold from December 23 to 26, 2024, in Otukpo, Benue State, Ochai said the event promises an unforgettable celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the Idoma people.

    Speaking to journalists on Tuesday in Abuja, Chief Ochai emphasized that this year’s carnival will deliver an unparalleled experience with a series of exciting events, contests and cultural showcases.

    “This year’s carnival promises to showcase the rich culture, music, and traditions of the Idoma people,” Ochai said.

    “It’s more than just a cultural celebration; it’s a revitalization of our heritage combined with a street party full of class and style. It’s entertainment at its peak!”

    He outlined some of the highlights of the carnival, to include, live performances by top Nigerian artists, bikers parade, processions showcasing Idoma and Nigerian culture, Film Festival and Nigerian Carnival Queen

    “For the first time in its history, the carnival will host the Idoma Nollywood Film Festival, providing a platform for Idoma filmmakers to showcase their talent, preserve their culture, and spotlight Idoma Nollywood on a global stage.

    “At the grand finale on December 26, the prestigious Nigerian Carnival Queen will be crowned, adding an extra layer of glamour and excitement to the event.”

    Chief Ochai called on Idoma sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora, as well as Nigerians at large, to make plans to attend.

    “There is no better place to be this December than Otukpo,” he declared.

    “The venue is St. Mary’s Primary School, Otukpo. Let’s come together to celebrate the rhythm of our heritage.”

    He extended his gratitude to His Royal Majesty, the Och’Idoma, Agabaidu Elaigwu Odogbo, for his royal guidance and prayers, which have continued to inspire the carnival’s success.

    According to the release signed by the directorate for media stated that the prestigious event will honor the Lagos State Governor  Mr Babajide Sanwo Olu and other credible tourism and hospitality stakeholders in Lagos who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of the industry.

    Investigator news reports that the Destination Lagos Awards 2024 aims to recognize and celebrate the achievements of individuals and organizations that have demonstrated excellence in tourism and hospitality as the event promises to be an evening of glamour and celebration, bringing together key stakeholders in the industry.

    In preparation for the big day, the team of organizers, accompanied by Mr. Diwesh, Managing Director of Donias and Head of the Expatriate Communities Committee, made a final visit to the JK Randle Cultural Centre, Onikan, Lagos, the venue of the event, yesterday.

    This final inspection ensures that every detail is in place for a successful and memorable event.

    While addressing the media team during the visit, the Director of the facility, Mr. Qudus, stated: “We are delighted to host the Destination Lagos Awards 2024 at the JK Randle Cultural Centre.     Furthermore, Mr. Qudus promised his total support in ensuring a hitch-free maiden edition of the Destination Lagos Awards, saying: “We will provide all necessary support to ensure the event is a huge success. We are committed to making the JK Randle Cultural Centre a befitting venue for this prestigious awards ceremony.”

    Mr. Diwesh, Head of the Expatriate Communities Committee of the Destination Lagos Awards, expressed his excitement about the event, saying: “The Destination Lagos Awards 2024 is a unique opportunity for us to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Lagos State and honor the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations in the tourism and hospitality industry.     Apata who is the Project Director of the Destination Lagos Awards, as well as CEO of Eko Destination Ltd highlighted the Governor’s achievements in the tourism sector, including the development of the Lagos State Tourism Master Plan, which aims to harness and develop the state’s tourism resources into different products of attraction for both in-bound and out-bound tourists.
