Dateline 2027: By-Elections Results As A Referendum On Tinubu Government

    By Mogaji (Hon) Seye Oladejo.

The recently concluded by-elections across 16 federal and state constituencies have sent a clear and resounding message across the political landscape of Nigeria — the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains the party of choice for the Nigerian people.

Emerging victorious in 12 out of the 16 contested seats, the APC has not only consolidated its dominance but has also reaffirmed the confidence of the Nigerian electorate in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party’s renewed direction under the chairmanship of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda. This round of by-elections marks the first electoral outing since Prof. Yilwatda took the reins of the APC, and it is nothing short of a landmark success.

    A Victory Rooted in Performance

From the North to the South, the people have spoken loudly through the ballot box. APC’s sweeping victories — including the highly contested Edo Central Senatorial Seat, House of Representatives seats in Kaduna, Jigawa, Ogun, and Edo, and State Assembly seats in Adamawa, Taraba, Niger, Ekiti, and Kano — reflect the public’s appreciation for the policies, reforms, and governance style of the Tinubu-led administration.

In an atmosphere charged with opposition propaganda and economic headwinds, the APC stood tall and unshaken. Rather than cower under pressure, the government focused on stabilizing the economy, tackling insecurity, strengthening infrastructure, and pursuing bold fiscal reforms. These by-election results are a direct endorsement of that focus.

    The Tinubu Effect

Critics have often questioned the popularity and effectiveness of President Tinubu’s administration. However, the outcome of these by-elections has provided a referendum of sorts — one that places confidence in his leadership, his policies, and his long-term vision for a more prosperous Nigeria.

The electorate, especially in states like Kaduna, Adamawa, Taraba, and Edo, has rewarded the party for progress on the Renewed Hope Agenda. The reforms, though tough, are beginning to yield results, and the people can feel the impact where it matters most — in governance, infrastructure, and national cohesion.

    A Demoralized Opposition

It was a clean sweep. The Labour Party (LP), which rode a wave of social media momentum in 2023, recorded zero wins. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) also failed to register a single seat. This suggests that the media-fueled popularity of these parties has failed to translate into grassroots electoral strength or sustainable political structures.

The PDP, often the main rival to the APC, only managed a single seat in Oyo, while the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) held onto just one constituency in Kano — an expected result given their regional stronghold. APGA, limited to the Southeast, took two seats in Anambra. But none of these shifts altered the larger picture: APC remains Nigeria’s dominant political force heading into 2027.

The Leadership of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda

Special commendation must go to the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, whose strategic direction, organizational discipline, and visionary leadership played a crucial role in this sweeping success. This is his first major outing since becoming chairman, and the results are a testimony to his grassroots engagement and national outreach.

This victory is not just a win at the ballot box — it is a declaration that the APC, under Yilwatda’s leadership, is re-energized, refocused, and ready for the tasks ahead, especially the 2027 general elections.

    Looking Ahead: 2027 Beckons

With the APC’s dominance reaffirmed, the stage is being set for a grand 2027 showdown. These by-election victories are not just statistical triumphs; they are symbolic wins that underscore the trust Nigerians have placed in the Tinubu-led administration.

The message is clear: Nigerians believe in the APC. They believe in the Renewed Hope Agenda. They believe that the country, though challenged, is on the right path. And when the time comes in 2027, the people will remember who stood firm in times of uncertainty, who led with courage, and who delivered results.

Congratulations to all APC members, leaders, and supporters worldwide. The journey continues, and the future looks brighter than ever.

The Progressives Have Spoken. Nigeria is Listening.

Purge Yourself Of Inherent Bitterness, Lagos APC Admonishes Peter Obi.

    Mogaji (Hon) Seye Oladejo.

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) finds it necessary, once again, to address the increasingly toxic and compulsive outbursts of Mr. Peter Obi, the ever-aggrieved presidential candidate of the Labour Party, whose politics has become a tired exercise in cynicism, envy, and willful ignorance.

Mr. Obi’s latest attack on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s diplomatic engagements abroad is yet another desperate cry for relevance — the rantings of a man still unable to come to terms with his electoral defeat, and now consumed by an obsession to malign a government that is actively working to clean up the mess created by decades of inconsistent leadership, of which he himself was once a part.

It is laughable that Mr. Obi, a man who spent the better part of his post-election months lobbying in foreign capitals, now feigns outrage over international diplomacy simply because he is not the one on the plane. His hypocrisy is only matched by the pettiness and bitterness that has come to define his political brand.

President Tinubu’s travels are not joyrides, as Obi’s social media tantrums would suggest. They are strategic missions to reposition Nigeria on the global stage, attract foreign investment, and forge partnerships that will yield long-term benefits for Nigerians. Unlike Mr. Obi’s headline-chasing populism, President Tinubu governs with purpose, clarity, and global reach.

Even respected global figures like Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala — known for her independence and intellect — have acknowledged that under President Tinubu, Nigeria’s economy is stabilising. But Mr. Obi would rather deny facts, distort narratives, and sabotage progress just to remain politically relevant.

We advise Mr. Obi to look inward. What he sees as national commentary is nothing more than a projection of his political frustrations and chronic bitterness. His obsession with President Tinubu is unhealthy, unproductive, and unbefitting of someone who once aspired to lead a nation.

The Lagos APC urges Nigerians to see through the charade — to recognise Mr. Obi’s consistent negativity for what it is: a self-serving, ego-driven distraction from the real work being done to rebuild Nigeria.

President Tinubu remains undistracted and committed to delivering on his Renewed Hope Agenda. No amount of bitter commentary will derail the progress that has begun — and certainly not from a man stuck in the past and blinded by personal disappointment.

Lagos APC Celebrates The Tinubu Government In Response To “Tinubu Has Stabilised Nigeria’s Economy” – Okonjo-Iweala.

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State Chapter, warmly welcomes the recent remarks by Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), acknowledging that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stabilised Nigeria’s economy.

Dr. Okonjo-Iweala, a globally respected economist and a former Minister of Finance, is not given to political flattery. Her statement reflects what discerning observers around the world are beginning to recognize: Nigeria is on a steady path of economic recovery and structural transformation, thanks to the bold reforms and decisive leadership of President Tinubu.

From the outset of his administration, President Tinubu has taken tough but necessary decisions — removing the long-standing fuel subsidy, unifying the exchange rate, and implementing far-reaching fiscal and monetary reforms. These choices were not politically convenient, but they were economically essential. Today, we are beginning to see the results:
    • A stabilised naira, with reduced volatility in the foreign exchange market.
    • Increased investor confidence, leading to inflows across key sectors.
    • Gradual easing of inflationary pressures.
    • Renewed commitments to infrastructure, agriculture, and manufacturing.

The Lagos APC celebrates these milestones as evidence of President Tinubu’s vision, courage, and commitment to national rebirth. It is also a validation of the confidence Lagosians — and indeed Nigerians — placed in him during the 2023 elections.

We commend Dr. Okonjo-Iweala for speaking truthfully and constructively. Her comments cut through the noise of partisan criticism and affirm what many Nigerians are beginning to feel — that there is a plan, there is a direction, and there is hope.

We urge Nigerians to remain patient and resilient. The journey to lasting prosperity requires time and unity. Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, we are confident that President Tinubu will continue to steer the nation towards inclusive growth, security, and social development.

The Lagos APC remains proud of the administration and reiterates its full support for President Tinubu as he delivers on his mandate to rebuild and reposition Nigeria for greatness.

  • Re- “Tinubu Embarks On Another Foreign Trip While Nigeria Bleeds “– Peter Obi

Re- “Tinubu Embarks On Another Foreign Trip While Nigeria Bleeds “– Peter Obi

    Hon Seye Oladejo Mogaji.

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) notes with concern the latest remarks made by Mr. Peter Obi regarding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s official trip abroad. Mr. Obi’s comments, couched in emotional rhetoric, demonstrate a persistent misunderstanding of both governance and global diplomacy.

President Tinubu’s current travel itinerary is not a leisure tour, as Mr. Obi has insinuated, but part of a strategic international engagement to reposition Nigeria on the global economic and diplomatic stage. At a time when our nation is seeking partnerships, investments, and solutions to shared global challenges, the presence of our President at multilateral forums like the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) is not only appropriate — it is essential.

We remind Mr. Obi that leadership in the 21st century does not operate in isolation. Our challenges — economic revitalization, climate resilience, energy access, and security cooperation — require international collaboration, not insular thinking. President Tinubu’s engagements with foreign leaders are informed by a vision of building a stable, secure, and prosperous Nigeria, with partners who understand our reality and are willing to support us.

Mr. Obi, who has himself toured foreign capitals in search of sympathy for a rejected electoral bid, should understand that diplomacy is not optional — it is a duty of leadership. While he asks why the President visits foreign countries, we ask why he consistently disregards the significance of high-level diplomacy in attracting aid, forging security partnerships, and expanding trade.

Rather than distort facts, Mr. Obi should acknowledge the visible progress being made:
    • Stabilization of the naira and moderation of inflation.
    • Attracting multi-billion-dollar commitments in infrastructure, energy, and digital economy.
    • Improved bilateral security cooperation, especially in the fight against terrorism and organized crime.

Let it be clear: Nigeria is not bleeding — Nigeria is rebuilding, and that work is being done both at home and abroad. The President’s travel schedule reflects a strategic prioritization of Nigeria’s long-term interests, not neglect.

Finally, the Lagos APC urges Mr. Obi and the Labour Party to rise above politicized commentary and contribute meaningfully to national discourse. Nigerians deserve sober reflection, not alarmist rhetoric.

President Tinubu remains fully committed to the service of the Nigerian people, whether from Abuja, Yokohama, or anywhere his duty calls.

  • Amaechi’s Delusions Of Grandeur Are Laughable – Lagos APC Responds To Tinubu Boast.

Amaechi’s Delusions Of Grandeur Are Laughable – Lagos APC Responds To Tinubu Boast.

    Hon Mogaji Seye Oladejo

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted with a mixture of disbelief and amusement to the recent statement credited to Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, in which he boasted that he knows President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “weaknesses” and would defeat him if given the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

This outburst is nothing more than the desperate rant of a political relic struggling to stay relevant in a political terrain that has long moved past him.

For the record, Rotimi Amaechi lacks the pedigree, the structure, the national appeal, and the political capital to challenge Asiwaju Bola Tinubu—on any platform, under any condition, in any era.

The idea that he could unseat a sitting president—elected by a clear majority and widely respected across geopolitical zones—using a fringe party like the ADC is laughable at best and pitiful at worst.

Mr. Amaechi, who couldn’t even deliver his unit or command loyalty within his own party structure during the last election cycle, now wants Nigerians to take him seriously as a contender? Nigerians are not fools.

What Mr. Amaechi calls “knowing Tinubu’s weaknesses” is nothing but the bitterness of a man whose own political journey has been riddled with betrayal, controversy, and decline.

While President Tinubu has built leaders, institutions, and a legacy of performance, Amaechi’s name has become synonymous with political infighting, disloyalty, and personal ambition at the expense of collective progress.

Let us be clear: The APC in Lagos and across Nigeria remains solidly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. No amount of petty media noise, childish provocation, or attention-seeking from expired political actors will change that reality.

If Mr. Amaechi feels compelled to contest under the ADC, he is free to test his strength. But he should also brace for the crushing defeat that will inevitably expose just how little support he truly commands.

We urge Nigerians to disregard these infantile claims and remain focused on the important task of nation-building under the competent, visionary leadership of President Tinubu.

  • Birthday Cheer To A First Lady With A Golden Heart: Dr Nonye Soludo.

Birthday Cheer To A First Lady With A Golden Heart: Dr Nonye Soludo.

    By Christian ABURIME

Today is a special day of celebration. A well-deserved one for Dr. Nonye Soludo, the wife of our amiable Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, the First Lady of Anambra State, a remarkable gem, an endearing personality, a selfless exemplar, and a graceful woman who will be a year older today.

Reflecting on the countless ways she has touched the lives of so many, what one sees is a First Lady embodying the ideals of simplicity, decency, compassion, and stewardship that are so vital to the flourishing of a human community.

Ever egalitarian and thoughtful, Dr. Nonye Soludo is a person who carries the heart of Anambra in her actions. This has earned her the endearing name of being affectionately referred to by the appreciative and good people of Anambra as “Mama Anambra ”

Rather than wear the title of “First Lady” as a badge of privilege, she thrives in her modesty, choosing instead to immerse herself in meaningful initiatives that uplift the lives of the people.

Through her “Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo” programme, she has become a social driving force, advocating for better health practices, environmental consciousness, and the importance of nutritious food.

Recently, she shared her experiences from her own cultivated garden at The Light House in Awka. While relishing her experience harvesting fresh, ripe tomatoes from the garden, she enthused, “There is always a natural feeling of fulfilment when you harvest from your own garden.”

This authentic personal reflection of her shows the beauty of self-reliance in food security, encouraging families across Anambra to cultivate their own gardens, emphasizing that “you are what you eat.”

But her social commitment goes beyond just subsistence farming and healthy eating. It also extends to regular physical fitness exercises as well as the environment and community spirit. On environmental sanitation, for instance, Dr. Nonye Soludo always highlights the need for collective action, reminding us that we are all stakeholders in the preservation of our natural surroundings.

“Every action we take towards our environment will either come back green or haunt us,” she wisely articulates, encouraging each of us to take personal responsibility for our habits and their impacts on our shared environment.

Still, under her stewardship, the Healthy Living Garden Programme has blossomed, impacting schools and local government areas throughout Anambra.

Her tireless advocacy has not gone unnoticed; it has been rightfully acknowledged today with the prestigious First Lady of the Year award (Healthcare and Child Support) at the 2025 Nigerian Humanitarian Awards.

This latest accolade, set to be officially conferred on the First Lady on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja, speaks volumes about her relentless dedication to maternal and child health, while also proving her continued support for underprivileged families across both rural and urban settings.

As a steadfast supporter of her husband’s Solution governance agenda, Dr.Nonye Soludo’s humanitarian work also complements and enhances the broader vision of transforming Anambra State, proving that behind every successful leader is often a partner whose quiet strength, wisdom, and dedication make the impossible seem achievable.

In fact, the First Lady understands that good governance goes beyond policies and programmes to encompass creating an environment where families can thrive, children can grow up healthy, and communities can flourish sustainably.

Through it all, what further sets Dr. Nonye Soludo, apart as a person, is the warmth, dignity, and empathy with which she carries herself. She has redefined what it means to be a First Lady, choosing to walk among the people rather than above them.

Her down-to-earth nature and caring approach have endeared her to many of us who see in her not just a governor’s wife, but a sister, a mother, and a friend who genuinely cares about everyone’s wellbeing.

As we wish, Dr. Nonye Soludo, a very happy, healthy, fulfilling birthday, we do so with gratitude for her selfless service, admiration for her humble spirit, and excitement for her continued positive impact.

May this new year of her life bring even more opportunities to plant seeds of hope, cultivate dreams, and harvest the fruits of her ceaseless dedication to making Anambra a better place.

Happy Birthday, ma, Dr. Nonye Soludo!

Security Veterans Key To Tinubu’s Success: A Call To Reward Loyalty.

    Agogo Allah

President Tinubu must not forget to reward loyalty, especially to the 3 key security chiefs who assiduously worked to ensure his declaration as President.

Infact, they became enemies to their colleagues who wanted to do the bidding of those who never wanted Asiwaju

These men blocked the “interim government” plan of Ahmed Lawal,Hope Uzodinma,Abdullahi Adamu and Co, spent serious amount of money in hard currencies to twart hidden agendas of the likes of Emefieli, Malami and Co so as to counter hidden agendas against him.

Despite being nearly fired 2 weeks before the election for standing by Tinubu, they fought crucial security and intelligence battles for his emergence.

Unfortunately, only 1 was rewarded, while 2 were shunned. It’s argued that Tinubu needs these veterans now to navigate pending battles ahead of 2027, given the current Chief of Army Staff’s limited followership.

“I can authoritatively state that Asiwaju needs these men now to join him plan and withstand pending battles ahead of 2027.”

Asiwaju will find it very difficult to navigate through the security and intelligence power-play owing to the fact that his current Chief of Army Staff doesn’t command the needed followership like Late Lagbaja did hence the need for him to employ the services of some security and intelligence veterans.

Currently, Tinubu is said to be receiving half-baked intelligence, while his opponents are better informed, with saboteurs lurking everywhere.

Rising Insecurity: Time For President Bola Tinubu To Appoint Maj Gen Samuel Adebayo (Rtd) As The Nation’s Anti- Terrorism Chief.

    By Efosa Idehen.

With the security situation in the land worsening on a daily basis as bandits, terrorists, kidnappers, separatists, militants and assorted criminals enjoy a field day at the expense of innocent citizens and their properties, the defining moment has come for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint a top anti-terrorism chief to oversee the ongoing war on insurgency in order to root the criminal and terrorist elements from our land once and for all.

To the question, who might likely be appointed as the top anti-terrorism czar, the hallowed name that readily comes to mind is Major-General Samuel Adebayo (rtd), erstwhile Chief of Defence lntelligence (CDI) and Head of the Defence lntelligence Agency (DIA), whose gloried tenure from 2022-2024 witnessed the drastic decimation of criminal networks and successive neutralisation of their dastardly perpetrators while making large swaths of the nation safe again for peaceful abode and commercial enterprise.

Utilizing his vast store of knowledge, invaluable experience and technical expertise to bear, an intrepid Major-General Adebayo deployed a vast array of modern technological tools of intelligence gathering, processing and application which greatly assisted in the destruction of Boko Haram terrorist cells and hideouts as well as numerous armed bandit camps in the North West and North Central parts of the country.

The former CDI’s methodical, tactical and strategic approach to counter-insurgency operations was the stuff of legend and is deeply admired and emulated both within and outside the nation’s shores.

The tenacious DIA supremo strenuously gathered critical intel, data and crucial info on the subject matter and diligently ensured that they were accurate to the letter before taking surgical action in order to minimize collateral damage to innocent residents.

However those who were culpable or allied to criminal perpetrators always bore the full brunt of Major General Adebayo’s counter-terrorist response, no more no less.

Major-General Samuel Adebayo was tough, dedicated, ruthless and utterly uncompromising supremo in the war against terrorism, armed banditry, separatism, kidnapping, militancy and all other anti-social crimes that threatened the peace, unity, stability and tranquility of his beloved nation.

Earlier in his career as a trailblazing Chief of Staff at the Nigerian Corps of Military Intelligence (NAIC), later Director of Military Intelligence, then Chief of Military Intelligence, Nigerian Army and Director of Operations of the Defence lntelligence Agency before his top appointment as DIA boss, Major-General Adebayo was creative, resourceful, energetic and proactive in the rapid dismantling of terrorist networks and their fellow travellers.

During his glorious tenure, Major General Adebayo repositioned and recalibrated the DIA in order to more credibly deliver on its onerous mandate to provide an efficient system of obtaining military intelligence for the Nigerian Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence, promote Nigeria’s Defence Policy, enhance military cooperation with other countries, protect the lives of Nigerian citizens, and maintain the territorial integrity of Nigeria.

The policy reforms he put in place majorly succeeded because Major General Adebayo ensured that all and sundry in the DIA fully understood and wholeheartedly subscribed to the agency’s inalienable mission which is tied to the indivisibility, indestructibility and indissolubility of the Nigerian nation.

Apart from policy decisions, the DIA helmsman also invested in the welfare and well-being of the Agency’s staff in order to further boost their overall morale and productivity

As far as a patriotic Major-General Adebayo was concerned, Nigeria’s existence as a corporate entity is settled and not open for negotiation QED.

Having set terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and other assorted criminal cohorts on the run, scattered and seriously depleted, the DIA supremo continued to soldier on, ridding his beloved nation of terrorist deviants and their acolytes wherever they may be ensconced.

This was indeed the undiluted vision and untramelled mission of the tough, resolute, courage and utterly uncompromising Major General Samuel Adebayo which was summarised thus: No Retreat, No Surrender Until Total Victory is Achieved.

With the outstandingly courageous and overwhelmingly forward looking profile, resume and distinguished track record of the former defence intelligence boss, it is of no surprise that the clarion call is mounting across the nation for the urgent appointment of Major-General Samuel Adebayo by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the nation’s top anti-terrorism chief in order to restore security, peace, stability and tranquillity nationwide.

The indomitable and indefatigable Major General Samuel Adebayo has done it before and he can do it again. Let us make hay while the sun shines. There is no further time to waste.

  • ANAMBRA’S OWN LKY: CELEBRATING SOLUDO AT 65

ANAMBRA’S OWN LKY: CELEBRATING SOLUDO AT 65

    By Christian ABURIME.

Every generation has its visionaries. Every nation has its pathfinders. Every society has its catalysts. They, visionaries, pathfinders, and catalysts, are leaders who possess profound ideas and nous to make change and progress possible.

Three years ago, Anambra State found its own change-maker in Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, and has not remained the same.

Today, as Governor Soludo marks 65 revolutions around the orbit of time, Anambra State can also celebrate the dawn of a new, paradigmatic era.

With well-grounded ideas, policies, strategies and actions, Governor Soludo has been meticulously laying the foundations of a future Anambra megacity, echoing the Asian leadership icon that reshaped a nation across a generation: Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew.

Like LKY, who gazed beyond Singapore’s colonial port status to envision a gleaming global powerhouse, Governor Soludo sees Anambra not just as it is, but as the prosperous, liveable, and modern hub it must become.

His leadership is defined by that same audacious, foundational vision, a refusal to settle for incremental change when systemic transformation is possible.

It is quite instructive that Governor Soludo’s blueprint mirrors LKY’s core tenets.

He is building robust institutions that empower individuals. He champions clean governance and accountable systems, understanding that sustainable development requires dynamic institutions resistant to decay.

Every policy push targets systemic strength, not fleeting populism.

The Governor is also a compulsive catalyst whose administration, recognizing that progress thrives in stability, emphasizes the rule of law, law enforcement, and public order.

Read Also:Governor Soludo@65: Selfless, Compassionate And Empathetic Servant Leader.

This is the essential premise for investment, security, and societal dignity, the very order LKY knew was non-negotiable for Singapore’s rise.

Just as LKY bet on Singapore’s human capital and infrastructure, Governor Soludo is relentlessly building on the same structure.

From ambitious road networks and urban renewal to massive investments in education, healthcare, digital economy and youth skills development,he is planting seeds for a diversified, resilient, knowledge-driven economy.

The “Everything Technology” philosophy also leverages a roadmap to relevance in the 21st century.

Eschewing short-term political wins, Governor Soludo further exhibits the courageous discipline visionaries like LKY exemplified.

Tough decisions on urban planning, environmental preservation (Clean, Green, Sustainable Anambra), and fiscal prudence are made with an unblinking eye on the horizon: the Anambra of 2030, 2050, 2070 and beyond.

Indeed, the parallels are profound. LKY transformed a resource-poor island into a global marvel through innovative planning, incorruptible efficiency, and an uncompromising belief in his nation’s potential.

Governor Soludo, inheriting a state brimming with innate entrepreneurial spirit but hampered by infrastructural and systemic gaps, is charting a strikingly similar progressive course.

He is the architect Anambra needs: building not just roads and bridges, but strong institutions, a culture of excellence, and a framework for enduring prosperity.

Thus his 65th birthday goes beyond a personal milestone. It is a marker on Anambra’s journey towards its destiny.

The transformation is nascent, the challenges are real, but the foundations Governor Soludo is laying today, with LKY-like clarity and resolve, promise a legacy as enduring as Singapore’s fame.

Anambra is rising, and Governor Soludo’s vision is the state’s greatest birthday gift which deserves continuity beyond the November election.

    Happy birthday, Sir, Mr Governor!
