This chaotic and rudderless reality stands in sharp contrast to the opposition years under the visionary leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who as a master political strategist and democrat, built a formidable coalition rooted in principles, ideas, and structure.

Asiwaju’s opposition politics was defined by clarity of purpose, ideological direction, and consistency of engagement.

He offered Nigerians a credible alternative founded on progressivism, good governance, and national unity.

It was that brand of purposeful and issue-driven opposition that gave birth to the All Progressives Congress (APC) – a product of strategic coalition, political discipline, and intellectual depth – which Nigerians overwhelmingly voted into power in 2015.

The APC of today is a testament to what visionary and responsible opposition politics can achieve when driven by patriotism rather than personal ambition.

While President Tinubu’s administration continues to pursue the Renewed Hope Agenda with courage and clarity – implementing tough but necessary reforms to reposition the economy and restore national pride – the opposition of today is preoccupied with propaganda, bitterness, and blind ambition.

At a time when the government is working to stabilize the economy, empower citizens, and strengthen national unity, the opposition remains fixated on divisive rhetoric and self-serving noise.

The APC finds it troubling that none of the opposition parties has presented any coherent roadmap for the economy, security, education, or social development.

Their default strategy remains to demonize government policies while offering no credible alternatives. Such an unserious and visionless opposition can only undermine the progress of democracy by reducing public discourse to noise and confusion.

Indeed, the absence of credible alternatives has become one of the major reasons for the growing voter apathy witnessed during elections.

Nigerians are fast losing interest in a political opposition that neither inspires confidence nor offers any hope of genuine change.

Democracy thrives on choice – and when one side of the political divide consistently fails to evolve, citizens naturally disengage from the process.

Let it be known that democracy thrives not just on the conduct of elections but on the quality of engagement between the ruling party and a constructive opposition.

Unfortunately, what we have today is a fragmented assemblage of self-appointed messiahs and expired politicians who mistake social media noise for national relevance.

The Lagos APC therefore calls on Nigerians to see through the facade of this rudderless opposition. The coming 2027 elections will not be a contest between the ruling APC and any formidable alternative – it will be a referendum on performance, vision, and national stability. On all these fronts, the APC stands head and shoulders above the rest.

The APC remains committed to building a prosperous, secure, and inclusive nation under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The opposition, if it truly wishes to contribute to democratic progress, must first learn the basic art of leadership, discipline, and sincerity of purpose. Until then, it will remain the biggest threat to the deepening of democracy in Nigeria.

While freedom of expression and peaceful assembly are sacrosanct in any democracy, what we are witnessing is far from a legitimate call for justice – it is a dangerous display of reckless politics, carefully scripted by desperate opposition figures who see chaos as their last political weapon.

This so-called protest is not about justice; it is about political frustration. It represents the height of bitter, destructive politics – an attempt by those who have been roundly rejected by Nigerians at the polls to exploit national issues in search of cheap relevance.

We find it deeply disturbing that certain opposition leaders, who should know better, are shamelessly endorsing and sponsoring these street theatrics.

Their involvement reveals what can only be described as a classic case of the Biblical hand of Jacob but the voice of Esau – deceitful manipulation hiding behind the façade of activism.

But let them be reminded: they will not gain in the streets what they have disgracefully lost at the polls.

The insensitivity of the organizers and their sponsors is shocking. At a time when the South East is still bleeding from years of mindless bloodshed, kidnappings, and enforced sit-at-home orders – all consequences of violent agitation – these individuals have chosen to mock the memories of the victims.

They ignore the tears of widows, the pains of orphans, and the devastation of communities ruined by senseless violence.

Their protest is not a demand for justice; it is a betrayal of the sacrifices of the innocent.

For years, ordinary citizens in the South East have lived in fear – traders afraid to open their shops, transporters grounded by threats, children deprived of education, and families shattered by insecurity.

Yet, instead of standing with their people to heal these wounds, these political opportunists have returned to fan the embers of division, hoping to profit from instability.

Let it be clear: no one is above the law. The case of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu remains a judicial matter properly before the courts.

Nigeria’s judiciary is competent, independent, and capable of delivering justice without recourse to mob pressure or street intimidation.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, through the Renewed Hope Agenda, is working to rebuild the economy, restore investor confidence, and foster national unity.

His administration has shown remarkable inclusivity, with the South East occupying key national positions and benefiting from renewed infrastructural development. True progress will come not from chaos, but from cooperation and peace.

The Lagos APC therefore calls on security agencies to remain vigilant, and on all patriotic Nigerians – especially leaders of thought in the South East – to reject the antics of those who traffic in bitterness. Nigeria belongs to all of us, and we must not allow political desperation to tear it apart.

There must indeed be a limit to bitter politics.

While we thank him for finally admitting the obvious – that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains politically unstoppable – we must question the audacity and credentials of a man whose own political history is nothing but a long tale of experiments, misadventures, and failed auditions for relevance.

What moral or strategic authority does Dele Momodu possess to lecture anyone about political strategy? A man who is literally attached to the apron strings of a career presidential aspirant.

A presidential candidate whose electoral outing was so embarrassing that even his polling agents couldn’t locate his tally on the result sheet?

If anything, Momodu should be the last person to speak on winning strategies. His own record reads like a manual on how not to win in politics – loud on commentary, empty on substance, and perpetually chasing validation from political heavyweights who never take him seriously.

It is, therefore, sheer comic relief that a man whose entire political relevance is confined to social media timelines now presumes to dictate the opposition’s roadmap to 2027.

Nigerians know better. They know that leadership is earned through vision, performance, and consistency – not through editorials written from the sidelines of social gigs.

Let it be known that the days of weaponizing ethnicity as a shortcut to power are long gone. The Nigerian electorate has evolved. They are now focused on who can deliver results, not who can divide the nation.

Under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria is being rebuilt on the foundation of equity, inclusion, and reform.

From infrastructural renewal to economic stabilisation and social investment, this administration is proving that leadership is about ideas, not identity.

The self-acclaimed revolutionary has, once again, demonstrated his uncanny ability to trivialize serious national issues in his endless pursuit of attention and cheap popularity.

It is both baffling and laughable that Sowore, a man with no cultural or political connection to the South East, now parades himself as the rallying point of Ndigbo.

It is sheer mockery – and an insult to a people of deep intellect, courage, and history – for him to imagine that he can speak for or lead Ndigbo at this time and age.

Why is Sowore weeping more than the bereaved? Why is he pontificating loudly on a matter that is already before a court of competent jurisdiction? Is this about justice, or merely another desperate audition for public relevance?

The same Sowore who endlessly chants the mantra of democracy and rule of law now openly undermines both by inciting protests over a case that is actively being handled by the judiciary.

This contradiction exposes his activism as a theatre of convenience – noisy, shallow, and opportunistic.

Ndigbo do not need a political wanderer in borrowed robes to define their interests or struggles. They know their leaders, they understand their challenges, and they are perfectly capable of engaging the system with wisdom and dignity – not with Sowore’s brand of social media dramatics.

It is therefore imperative to remind Mr. Sowore that matters before the court are not to be tried on the streets or debated in his endless livestreams. The rule of law must take its full course, as that is the only path to lasting justice and national order – principles that the APC government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains steadfastly committed to.

In the final analysis, Sowore’s latest antics only expose his restlessness and craving for relevance. The more he forces himself into every national conversation, the more obvious it becomes that he stands for nothing beyond his own noise.

We urge Nigerians to ignore his circus. Sowore should stop playing the town crier of a village that never sent him on any errand.

As usual, Obi’s statement is long on drama but short on logic- a desperate attempt to stay politically relevant in a fast-evolving Nigeria that has moved on from empty populism.

It is rather amusing that the same Peter Obi – the undisputed master defector in Nigerian politics – now pretends to have a moral right to lecture anyone about political loyalty. This is the man who moved from APGA to PDP, then to the Labour Party, and who, according to credible whispers within his shrinking camp, is already in the political marketplace shopping for yet another platform to inherit before 2027.

Suddenly, the serial defector is suffering selective amnesia when discussing others’ political moves. He conveniently forgets that his entire career has been built on defection, opportunism, and expediency. If there were a trophy for political cross-carpeting, Obi would be its unchallenged winner.

Let it be made clear: the APC is not “capturing” the South-East – the region is voluntarily aligning with the national mainstream because Nigerians are done with emotional blackmail, divisive rhetoric, and politics of victimhood. The people of the South-East deserve inclusion, infrastructure, and investment – not empty crusades and sentimental activism.

Mr. Obi also needs to be reminded that power is not served à la carte. It is earned through structure, consistency, and the ability to build bridges across the federation – all of which he sorely lacks. His politics of isolation and sanctimony may have once excited social media, but Nigeria of today demands substance, not sympathy.
He’s been told loud and clear that the South East is not his fiefdom.
Divisive and religious politics no longer have a place in a country that is finally embracing unity and progress under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. That’s the new reality.

It is unfortunate that a respected academic continues to deploy his pen as an instrument of distortion and ethnic mischief rather than truth and reason.

Professor Kperogi’s piece is a tired rehash of the same ethnic reductionism that has long plagued Nigeria’s political discourse – the lazy assumption that every appointment by a Southern leader must have an ethnic or parochial undertone.

For a man of supposed intellectual depth, it is disappointing that he conveniently ignores the facts: Professor Joash Amupitan, SAN, was appointed INEC Chairman based on merit, experience, and unimpeachable integrity – not ethnicity.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, more than any Nigerian leader in recent history, has built his political career on the principle of inclusion, competence, and reward for merit.

His appointments since assuming office reflect the full diversity of Nigeria – across faiths, ethnicities, and regions. To suggest that the appointment of a distinguished legal scholar from Kogi State is some grand “Yorubacentric” project is both dishonest and mischievous.

It is instructive that even in his convoluted attempt to assign sinister motives, Kperogi admits that Professor Amupitan is a Christian, has no record of partisanship, and hails from the North Central region.

Yet, he still labors to frame his appointment as an extension of Yoruba hegemony. That contradiction alone betrays the emptiness of his argument.

The Lagos APC wishes to remind Kperogi and his echo chamber that Nigeria has moved beyond the provincial politics of suspicion and sectionalism.

President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is driven by competence, not geography. From the South-East to the far North, his cabinet and key appointments speak the language of national balance and capacity, not ethnicity.

If the learned professor were less obsessed with ethnic framing and more concerned with truth, he would have celebrated the President for giving visibility to a minority group within the North – a gesture that promotes inclusion rather than division.

Turning that gesture into an ethnic conspiracy is intellectual bad faith at its worst.

We also find laughable his insinuation that Tinubu is “visibilizing northern Yorubas” as some ethnic bait. The President needs no ethnic arithmetic to consolidate legitimacy.

His pan-Nigerian mandate was freely given by Nigerians who saw beyond tribe or tongue, and who trusted in his capacity to lead a complex nation with wisdom and balance.

In contrast, Kperogi’s habitual fixation on ethnicity is a relic of the politics of resentment – a tired template for those who cannot comprehend the cosmopolitan and bridge-building nature of President Tinubu’s politics.

From his days as Lagos Governor, where his cabinet was a microcosm of Nigeria, to his record of supporting capable leaders across all zones, Tinubu’s nationalism is lived, not theorized.

The Lagos APC advises armchair commentators to rise above ethnic lenses and appreciate merit when they see it.

Professor Amupitan’s appointment is a win for the law, for competence, and for Nigeria. To reduce it to an ethnic calculation is to insult the intelligence of the Nigerian people.

In the end, Kperogi’s “Notes from Atlanta” is less a commentary on Tinubu’s leadership and more a confession of his own ethnic anxieties – an attempt to see division where none exists, and to project prejudice onto a leader who has consistently built bridges across Nigeria’s diversity.

Nigeria has moved on. Kperogi should too.

The ongoing exodus from the PDP is only a confirmation that even its loyalists have lost faith in a party that has consistently failed to reform itself or offer a credible alternative to Nigerians.

The APC is not surprised. For years, the PDP has thrived on propaganda, blackmail, and empty rhetoric. But Nigerians are wiser now. The party that once mismanaged the nation’s fortunes for sixteen wasteful years cannot suddenly reinvent itself as a credible opposition when it remains a cesspool of confusion and leadership vacuum.

The Lagos APC wishes to remind the PDP that no amount of public posturing can mask the deep cracks within its fold. Its so-called unity is nothing but a fragile alliance of opportunists whose only common ground is desperation for power. The recent defection of key figures from the PDP to the APC is a testament to the growing confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which is already yielding measurable progress across critical sectors.

At this point, the few remaining members of the PDP are perhaps the undertakers – staying behind only to perform the final rites and fittingly dispose of what remains of a once-dominant but now lifeless political carcass.

It will serve the PDP’s best interest to start learning to walk alone on the dark, bumpy road to 2027. The party is obviously over for the former “largest party in Africa,” and the sooner it confronts that reality, the less humiliating its final exit will be.

Rather than issuing hollow press statements, the PDP should look inward, conduct an honest post-mortem of its failures, and come to terms with the reality that its relevance in Nigeria’s political space has drastically waned. The opposition cannot claim to be unshaken when its members are fleeing in droves to a party that represents progress, stability, and genuine leadership.

For the APC, these defections are not just political victories – they are endorsements of our party’s enduring commitment to national renewal and people-centered governance. The Nigerian people are speaking loudly and the message is clear: the era of deceitful opposition politics is over.

The last time the ADC made any national impact was when a few disenchanted politicians briefly used it as a temporary shelter before returning to their real homes.

The truth is simple – a party without structure, followership, or a recognizable ideology has no business speaking about winning elections.

The ADC’s boast of 2027 victory is akin to a political mirage: the closer they think they are to power, the farther it moves away.

There is absolutely nothing on ground politically anywhere in the country to warrant the ADC’s pitiable adventure in self-deceit. It is so convenient for the party to forget that just a few days ago, it was publicly begging its nomadic members for loyalty, fidelity, and commitment – a clear admission of its internal disarray and lack of cohesion

A party in perpetual crisis over membership discipline and identity cannot possibly be setting its sights on national victory. The ADC is, without question, the political joke of the coming national elections.

Nigerians are not in the mood for political jokes. They have seen the difference between a governing party with vision and competence, and the collection of directionless groups that only emerge during election seasons to trade in fantasies.

Under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria is experiencing a steady reawakening – from infrastructure expansion to economic stabilization and renewed investor confidence. These are tangible achievements, not mere slogans.

Rather than embarrassing itself with childish proclamations of 2027 victory, the ADC should face the reality of its perpetual irrelevance.

A party that cannot win a polling unit should not delude itself about winning the presidency. Political seriousness requires more than press conferences and wishful thinking; it requires vision, structure, and capacity – three things the ADC has never possessed.
