    Emmanuel Clement

The Arewa Community APC, Lagos State, has restored unity within its ranks following a landmark reconciliation meeting held under the leadership of the Apex Leader, Galadima Lagos.

The high-level gathering brought together State Chairman Alhaji Sa’adu Dandare, BOT Secretary Alhaji Shehu Sam Pam, and respected elders to address divisions that had unsettled the group.

Investigator news reports that the reconciliation was convened after internal disputes and verbal clashes among leaders threatened the cohesion of the Arewa Community APC.

The Apex Leader expressed displeasure over the disunity, warning that such developments weaken the trust of members and jeopardize the collective progress of the organization.

At the meeting, the principal figures in the conflict — Alhaji Sa’adu Dandare, Alhaji Shehu Sam Pam, and Alhaji Kamba — were given equal opportunities to present their positions. Guided by the wisdom of elders, their dialogue uncovered the roots of the misunderstanding, opening a path to genuine reconciliation.

A symbolic highlight occurred when Alhaji Dandare and Alhaji Sam Pam exchanged a warm handshake before the gathering, signaling their renewed resolve to bury differences.

Their embrace drew applause from elders and members, who hailed it as a turning point for peace and brotherhood in the community.

The leaders pledged to strengthen unity by discouraging derogatory remarks among their supporters. They reaffirmed the Arewa principle of “Uwa daya, Uba daya” — One family, one father — as the guiding spirit of the group’s progress in Lagos State.

In a decisive and unanimous resolution, the Arewa Community APC categorically disowned one Mr. Timi Joshua, cutting all ties with him and stripping him of any media-related role or recognition within the group. Elders declared that Joshua no longer speaks for, represents, or holds authority in the name of the Arewa Community APC.

A new, credible, and responsible spokesperson will be appointed by the Apex body to safeguard the image and integrity of the community.

Investigator news gathered that with these resolutions, the meeting ended on a hopeful note. The restored brotherhood has repositioned the Arewa Community APC, Lagos State, to serve its members more effectively and contribute meaningfully to the dynamic political landscape of Lagos.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Urges President Tinubu To Free Nnamdi Kanu For Medical Treatment.

    Onyebuchi Onwuchekwa, Owerri

The President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, John Azuta-Mbata, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu’s administration to release Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), citing concerns over his health and welfare.

In a video message shared with journalists, Azuta-Mbata emphasized that Kanu’s prolonged detention serves no meaningful purpose and urged the government to consider a political solution to his case.

Azuta-Mbata emphasized that Kanu’s prolonged detention neither benefits the government nor the country at large.

“The government has no serious advantage in keeping him. It is important that the government ensures his safety and welfare, and that the government must allow him to go and get medical treatment as quickly as possible.”

“The government must adopt a political solution to this situation,” he said.

Mbata noted that Kanu’s continued detention risks deepening tensions in the South-East region, while suggesting that embracing dialogue and political negotiation would be more beneficial than prolonged court battles or incarceration.

It will be recalled that Kanu was first arrested in 2015 on charges bordering on treasonable felony.

He was later granted bail but fled the country in 2017 after his home was invaded by security operatives. In June 2021, he was rearrested in Kenya through a controversial operation by Nigerian security agencies and has since remained in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS)

Kanu’s health issues, including dangerously low potassium levels, pancreas and liver problems, and a suspicious lump under his armpit, have raised concerns about his well-being in detention.

In another development,Human rights lawyer Malcolm Omirhobo has also condemned the government’s handling of Kanu’s case, calling for his immediate release.

Investigator news gathered that observers see Azuta-Mbata’s intervention as adding to growing pressure on President Tinubu’s administration to explore alternative measures to resolve the Biafra agitation
