    In his message, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime,Soludo highlighted the importance of collective efforts towards building a prosperous, secure, and sustainable Anambra State.

    The Governor, while extending his best wishes to all citizens and residents of Anambra State, urged everyone to celebrate this new beginning by reflecting with gratitude on the resilience, industry, and patriotic spirit of Ndị Anambra, which continues to distinguish our people across Nigeria and the global community.

    A Senior Traffic Officer with the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA),attached to Zone 20 (PWD Lagos)Olatunfe Oluwole John has been crowned “LASTMA Man of the Year 2025” for his heroic actions during a road traffic incident.

    Speaking during the ceremony, the General Manager of LASTMA, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, disclosed that the honour was conferred following the officer’s extraordinary exhibition of empathy, professionalism and lifesaving intervention while carrying out his statutory responsibilities along the BRT corridor by PWD on the Lagos–Abeokuta Expressway.

    According to him,Officer Olatunfe’s lifesaving intervention during a road traffic incident involving a commercial scooter rider and a female pedestrian where he administered first aid, secured transportation to the hospital, and prayed for the victim’s recovery earned him the prestigious award.

    His unwavering dedication to duty, humane disposition and prompt, effective service delivery have not gone unnoticed.

    His selfless intervention elicited widespread public commendation and attracted resounding accolades across various social media platforms,” Mr. Bakare-Oki stated.

    Recounting the incident, it was recalled that upon witnessing the accident, Officer Olatunfe reacted with remarkable alacrity, administering immediate first aid to the distressed victim in a bid to stabilise her condition.

    He further exemplified exceptional initiative by securing a tricycle to convey both the injured woman and the scooter rider to Mayfair Hospital, Agege, where he remained resolutely by her side.

    In a rare and deeply moving demonstration of compassion that transcended the call of official duty, the officer reportedly prayed fervently for the victim’s recovery while ensuring she received urgent medical attention.

    Unaware that his altruistic actions were being documented, an onlooker recorded the episode and shared the footage on social media, where it gained considerable traction and ultimately drew the attention of the LASTMA General Manager.

    Further underscoring his integrity and profound sense of responsibility, Officer Olatunfe was said to have utilised the victim’s mobile phone to contact her family members, ensuring that her father and siblings were promptly notified and present at the hospital before he responsibly returned to his duty post.

    He equally ensured accountability by compelling the scooter rider to assume full responsibility for the incident, including the settlement of all medical expenses incurred during the victim’s treatment.

    In acknowledgement of this extraordinary conduct, the Management of LASTMA not only issued a formal letter of commendation but also promoted Officer Olatunfe from his former role as a Choke Point Officer to the position of 2nd Bravo, Zone 20, in addition to the presentation of a cash reward.

    Mr. Bakare-Oki emphasised that the recognition and promotion were deliberately instituted to reinforce the Authority’s core values and to motivate other officers to emulate such exemplary conduct.

    “This honour is designed to send an unequivocal message across the Agency that excellence, integrity, compassion and outstanding service delivery will always be recognised and rewarded. Officer Olatunfe epitomises the very essence of LASTMA’s mandate to safeguard lives and ensure orderly road usage,” he concluded.

    Rev Ehis Edoror,District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church Nigeria, Lagos West, has emphasized the importance of respecting the institution of marriage during the solemnization of Holy Matrimony between Ijeoma Aniede and Ifeanyi Simeon held at the Sectional headquarter of the Assemblies of God Church, Ikotun section on Saturday December, 13th 2025.

    Speaking at the ceremony, Rev. Edoror referenced Genesis Chapter 2 vs 24, describing marriage as the oldest institution in the world, and urged the couple to build their relationship on love, peace, and patience.

    In his exhortation,Rev Nwosu implored the wife to submit to her husband and the husband to show unreserved love to the wife in other for them to experience a peaceful and blissful home according to Ephesians chapter 5 verse 22 and 25:

    “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husband as unto the Lord, Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it”

    The cleric went further to urged the couples to always believe in God in order to overcome their challenges.“Any family without Christ is a family with crisis.We have uncontrolled challenges in our families because of absence of God,for you to succeed, always invite God into your family at all times,” he said.

    The event culminated in exchange of marriage vows and presentation of marriage certificate. Others cutting of wedding cake, nuptial dance and presentation of gifts at the reception.

    Speaking with investigator news during the reception ceremony,the chairman of the occasion,Mr Akajiaku Light urge the couple to hold God first in everything they do.

    ” Every successful marriage lies in the hands of God, therefore they should always commit their ways into God’s hand and God will not fail them.I prayed that God will continually to lead them alright ” he said.

    The father of the bride,Rev Chris Aniede advised them not to allow offences and side talk from friends and family, stating that they should learn on how to sort out things or issues together without involving a third party.

    “My prayers for them is that the almighty God that assisted me in my own marriage and this is 30 years, that same grace will also lead them through ” he submitted.

    Lending her voice, the mother of the bride,Mrs Patricia Aniede stated that she has been longing for this, while thanking God for making it a reality,she prayed that God will not allow them to struggle in their marriage and also give them the grace to succeed.

    The father of the groom,Mr Simeon Chukwu who is so excited expressed gratitude to God almighty for making the day a reality

    He said,” this is what every father is expecting and today God has fulfilled it, wishing them a happy married life.My prayers for them is that God who has started the good work will accomplish it and whatsoever they lay their hands to do,it will be multiply because God has favor them”

    Mr Simeon Chukwu urge them to build their marriage on love, peace and patience, stating that if they have love and patience there will always be peace in their homes.

    Mrs Chinyere Simeon Chukwu (Mother of the groom) urge them to live in peace,understanding and not to allow another person to interfere in their marriage.

    Hon Chukwuemeka P.K. Simeon (Senior brother to the groom)wished them a happy married life, stating that their home would flourish and surrounded by the power of God.

    He went further to pray that they will build and raise children that will contribute positively to the society, while advising them not to seek for their personal gain because marriage is not all about an individual but the couples which requires selfless service.

    When investigator news spoke with the newest couple,the bride formally know as Ijeoma Aniede and now addressed as Mrs Ijeoma Ifeanyi Simeon said that she feels accomplished and fulfilled because God brought peace to her.

    “What attracted him to me is the Christ I saw in him,he lives, talk and everything he does replicate Christ in him. He is someone who listens,teachable,corrects with love and I pray for myself to be a mother, wife and a best friend to my husband and kids”she said

    On his part,Mr Emmanuel Simeon Ifeanyi appreciated everyone who contributed immensely in ensuring that their wedding is a success, while thanking God for giving him a wonderful soulmate that he has always prayed for.

    He said that her zeal and passion for God and to do the work of God including the confidence she has attracted her to him.

    “My prayers for myself is that God will continually grant me the grace to follow his path and do his will always because prayers has always been the key to everything I do in life and I know that he would continue to guide me in this new phase of life “he submitted.

    In his Christmas message,Ododo described Christmas as a time for reflection, spiritual renewal, and recommitment to values that bind humanity together.

    He urged Nigerians to pray for Tinubu, asking God to grant him wisdom, strength, and good health as he leads the country through reforms

    The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government Hon. Lateef Ashimi has appealed to residents never to turn Somolu roads to Party grounds.

    He made this call during the 4th edition of the Renewed Hope Food Palliatives for the aged,the widows and the Vulnerables.

    This edition is specifically to identify with the season and give smiles to the faces of our people.

    He said,” It is worrisome that residents have suddenly cultivated the Idea of organizing parties on the majority roads instead of event centres, the laws of Lagos State forbids blocking the roads for any social activities, such as carnivals, birthdays, burial programs or anything for that matter,we are equally not allowed to use school compound for Socials,the law is not a respecter of anybody,hire an event centre for your socials he advised”.

    Moreso, the Executive Chairman said, Wastes Generated during the Yuletide periods should be carefully bagged to make it easy for PSP Operators to cart away.

    It is unethical not to bag refuse or to patronise Cartpushers.” You make the jobs of the Refuse Collectors very easy when the Wastes are bagged.Scavengers cannot easily access the Refuse that are bagged.On no account should anybody drop refuse at any junction or inside the Drainage channels.

    Ashimi went further to charged the Community development associations to monitor youths that are engaging in using fireworks,banger or any dangerous items that can cause panic,harm or encourage insecurity in our neighbourhood.

    According to him,the law prohibiting the use of Fireworks should be strictly enforced and culprits arrested by law enforcement agencies.

    Investigator news reports that the chairman used the occasion to call for religious tolerance and peaceful co- existence amongst the three major religious groups, the christians,muslims and the traditionalists.
