    Every election year comes with fresh expectations from Nigerians. Citizens eagerly anticipate a new lease of life, a deviation from the status quo.

    However, these expectations are cut short. Routinely, politicians fail to match words with actions, leaving their supporters and followers dog-tired.

    In Nnewi North constituency in Anambra State, the plot is the same. A number of elected officials have performed abysmally.

    Not your regular politician, Udeaja is already on course to buck that trend. The charismatic philanthropist is deep-rooted in the grassroots and understands the plight of his people.

    Udeaja is loved in his community. He is adored at home and respected outside. As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Banquo Global Agency, he has turned the company’s fortunes around, into global reckoning.

    Sir Udeaja is young, energetic and focused. He is a disciple of the respected federal lawmaker, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and embodies his leadership qualities. No surprise the Senator has reportedly anointed him as the Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate for the state Assembly.

    Udeaja who hails Edoji Community in Uruagu has also received the blessings of his kinsmen, traditional rulers and youths. He is considered the messiah to change the fortunes of his people.

    This great Nigerian represents the new movement in his community and beyond. He is the new face of  Nnewi north.

    Without a doubt, some borrowers can borrow up to N300,000 from the financial sector or the Nigerian lending market without putting up any tangible collateral.     2. A property that lacks a legal title (e.g., a C of O, a Deed of Assignment, or a Conveyance with the governor’s consent) is considered to have no title. You must obtain the appropriate title to your land in order to access the treasure it contains.

    3. Even if the land has a C of O, the property must have an approved building plan. Governments have previously demolished unapproved structures, lowering the property’s value. Even if you have already developed the land, you can get an approved plan by paying a penalty. Make an inquiry at the Ministry of Lands.

    4. The dead should not be buried in the compound. The commercial value of a beautiful property has been reduced by a visible grave or tombstone within the compound. What if the grave contains a well-known native physician? Bury your dead somewhere else. That is why cemeteries were created in the Western world.

    5. If your village or town is not a city, the banker will not be interested in your property. He will not accept a palace or land with a shrine. Those are difficult to sell.

    Small borrowers can use their fixed deposits and Treasury bills to borrow money. Shares of blue chip companies can be used to secure a loan in a stable economy.

    When selling your home quickly, keep in mind that a bank can only lend you up to 75% of the amount that can be sold. The price at which an uninterested buyer might purchase your property due to a lower price is known as forced sale value. This is typically a 25-30% discount off the market value of your home.

    Use some of your profit to purchase land in a city and construct a house (even if it’s just a boys’ quarter) on it. Then, have an estate valuer determine the property’s market value and forced sale value. This will give you a rough estimate of how much money you can borrow from the bank.

    Don’t tempt your banker into lending to you without any security. It’s like doing something without any safeguards. Please don’t do it to your banker. Many successful business people have discovered the above secret.

    The number of aspirants joining the race for the Anambra state house of assembly ticket of the young progressive party (YPP) for Nnewi North constituency seems to be taking a new turn, leaving on its trail the marks of three serious contenders in the persons of Hon. Sir Nnamdi Udeaja (CEO of Banquo Global Agency), Sir. James Okoye (MD Jalou Events) and Sir. Augustine Onyedika Ike-Ikedoji (Publisher Bell News).

    The three trailblazers in their various fields seem to be gathering lots of momentum in the hearts of the people, most especially Nnamdi Udeaja, who stands out as the destined one and is working assiduously hard towards getting the ticket.

    Notwithstanding the pivotal role rumored to be played by the incumbent senator-elect of the party in having the option of endorsing or rather anointing a candidate whom he chooses to favour to ride on his popularity in the state.

    An unbiased nomination is more serious because their choice will not be a mere party affair but a candidate not only with the ability to win but a capacity for problem-solving, as seen in the person of Nnamdi Udeaja.

    The same should also go for the main ruling party in the state, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), whose delegates will be exercising similar responsibility to choose leaders like Comrade Uzo Nwosu as well.

    Osinbajo engages optimistic APC delegates in Jigawa, Says Nigeria deserves best

    Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, met with stakeholders and delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State on Saturday in Dutse, the state capital, in what the VP described as “very fruitful conversations.”

    Prof. Osinbajo’s visit to Jigawa on Saturday was part of a nationwide engagement with APC stakeholders and delegates, with his major message being that decisions for the 2023 elections should be made in Nigeria’s best interests.

    When the Vice President arrived in Dutse, the state capital, he was greeted by a crowd of supporters, including APC Chieftains and senior state government officials, led by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abdulkadir Fanini Adamu, who represented Governor Badaru Abubakar, who was out of town at the time of the visit.

    The Vice President reiterated his belief that decisions about the 2023 elections should be made based on what is best for the country, its destiny, and its future as a nation during his townhall-style discussion with delegates, which included a Questions and Answers session.

    “We should make a decision based on the future of our children,” he says. We can make improvements and move forward. All I ask is that you vote in Nigeria’s best interests; vote in the best interests of our children.”

    He further added that if given the ticket and elected under the APC platform in 2023, his training and expertise in administration as VP under President Muhammadu Buhari would assist him lead the country efficiently as president.

    “As Vice President, the President has provided me with a chance that no other vice president has had.”

    Prof. Osinbajo later expressed his satisfaction with the discussions with the Jigawa delegation during a brief press conference following the meeting.

    “Every subject we covered is one that has a huge impact on the country. We discussed agriculture, youth empowerment, education, technology, and a range of other topics.

    “I believe it was really fruitful, and at the very least we all understand where we came from and where we should be in the following years.” We’re all overjoyed that we were able to secure this engagement.”

    Members of the State House of Assembly, local government officials, grassroots leaders, and women leaders were among those who spoke during the interactive session.

    Many of the delegates mentioned the Social Investment Programs’ successes, particularly the National Homegrown School Feeding Program, which provided first-time jobs for several women, according to the delegates. They also praised the Vice President’s services in this regard, as well as the Buhari administration’s efforts to make fertiliser more accessible and affordable, a benefit that Jigawa State has reaped.

    Others in the meeting praised the vice president’s “proven honesty and fear of God,” as well as his “great track record, loyalty, and support of Mr. President.”

    Several delegates voiced a desire for the VP to expand the SIP and assure youth and women’s participation in government if and when he is elected President, as well as provide Federal support for Jigawa State’s agrarian economy.

    Atiku: Why I deleted tweet condemning killing of student in Sokoto over blasphemy

    Abubakar Atiku, Nigeria’s former Vice President, explained on Friday why he removed a tweet criticising the killing of a student at Sokoto’s Shehu Shagari College of Education for blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad.

    Mr Abubakar, a presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, revealed this during a meeting with Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki at Government House in Benin.

    Mr Abubakar has previously reacted to the lynching of Deborah Samuel by her classmates over blasphemy claims, according to the Nigerian News Agency.
    After receiving reaction in the Muslim North, the message was quickly removed.
    However, the removal of the post sparked more social media outrage, particularly in the Christian South.

    “Every tweet has to obtain my stated consent,” Mr Abubakar says, “but this one didn’t, so I requested them to take it off.”
    “I stood up to Sharia law and was abused and stoned, but how long did that last?” Despite this, I have not changed my mind about it. “I’m not afraid to speak up on important subjects,” he stated.

    Education, according to the presidential candidate, is crucial.

    “If you recall, when the PDP was in office, we established the Tertiary Education Trust Fund,” he said (TETFUND).

    “We also established the Elementary School Education Fund and the Education Tax Fund to enable us (the PDP Federal Government) to offer sufficient funds to both state and local governments to invest in primary and secondary education.”

    “We also passed legislation making education obligatory for all Nigerian children from primary through secondary schools,” he added.

    When asked about zoning for the PDP presidential ticket, Mr Abubakar stated that the party has not abandoned the practise.

    He stated he would meet down with the party to decide on a running mate for the 2023 presidential race.

    Three serving Nigerian soldiers were apprehended with 1000 rounds of ammunition that they planned to sell to terrorists for N1 million.
    Soldiers from Zamfara State’s Forward Operations Base (FOB) in Galadi, Shinkafi local government area, were detained for selling ammunition and military uniforms to armed bandits in the state.

    Pte Bala Nura, LCPL Ehoda Monday, and LCPL Shehu Muhammad are the soldiers.

    According to authorities, the soldier Pte Bala Nura admitted to supplying 100 7.62mm special ammunition to the terrorists for N100,000.

    He was also found with 1,000 rounds of the same ammunition, which he promised to sell for N1 million to the gunmen.

    Militants kill policeman in Bakassi, others injured

    One police officer was killed in a gun battle with suspected militants in Bakassi on Friday morning, according to police.

    Irene Ugbo, the Public Relations Officer for the Cross River State Police Command, said the gunfight was tough but they were able to neutralise the group.

    “It is not true that the Bakassi militants attacked us and killed two of our men. A police officer was killed.

    “We’re still on their tail, and we’ll get them shortly,” she said.

    The attack took place at the Ikang jetty in Cross River State’s Bakassi LGA.

    According to sources, many more people were hurt during the attack and were taken to the hospital.

    The name of the terrorist group was unknown at the time of this publication because no one had claimed credit.

    At the jetty, police officers were believed to be on duty.

    In retribution for the execution of their commander and the disappearance of another by Cameroonian forces, a pro-Biafra militant group bombed two gunboats about a month ago.
