  • Dr. Becky Enenche Marks 55th Birthday with Love, Touches Lives of Over 1,000 Children in 30 Orphanages

Dr. Becky Enenche Marks 55th Birthday with Love, Touches Lives of Over 1,000 Children in 30 Orphanages

As part of activities marking her 55th birthday, Dr. Becky Enenche, wife of Dr. Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, extended love and support to more than 30 orphanage homes and over one thousand children from rural environment across the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The day began with a visit to Destiny Christian Academy in The Lord’s Garden, where she celebrated with schoolchildren.

From there, she proceeded to the event centre within the premises, where thousands of children, orphans and widows gathered for a massive outreach that featured the distribution of food items, educational materials and other welfare packages.

Later in the day, Dr. Enenche led her team to Tudun Wada, High Tension area in Lugbe, for a medical outreach, further extending humanitarian services to residents of the community.

Speaking during the celebration at The Lord’s Garden, Dr. Enenche encouraged the children to remain focused on their studies, maintain good character, and keep faith in God’s plan for their lives.

“Study hard, obey your teachers, and keep your eyes on the prize,” she told the children, adding that the church and her family would continue to support their education and welfare.

Addressing journalists, Dr. Enenche said the outreach was inspired by her long-standing passion for evangelism and child education.

“We started evangelism a few years ago along Airport Road, and in the process, we discovered many children were not in school. That gave birth to about 20 Bible clubs in different villages,” she explained.

“From there, I began placing some of the children on scholarships — separate from the scholarship programmes run by the church or by my husband. Each term, my team brings the list of children, and we ensure their school fees are paid. The list keeps growing because the children keep increasing.”

She added that beyond education, the ministry also provides mentorship, welfare, and emotional support to underprivileged children to help them build confidence and hope for the future.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Enenche for her continued kindness and generosity.

Praise Adekunle, one of the beneficiaries, said: “I feel happy and thankful for the gift of life. She placed me on scholarship, and for that, I’m grateful. May God bless and protect her and grant her many more years.”

Another beneficiary, Peter Oche, shared: “Mommy has been paying my school fees since junior school. I’m now in SS1. My prayer is that God will give her more life, more wealth, and more knowledge.”

Also speaking, Dr. David Abu Ozigi, Head of Welfare Department at Dunamis International Gospel Centre, said the gesture reflects the ministry’s enduring commitment to showing God’s love to the less privileged.

“This is not unusual for our Mummy. It is a consistent act of obedience to God’s command to care for orphans and widows,” he noted.
“Over 30 orphanage homes were empowered today, scholarships were awarded, and widows received support. Our spiritual parents, Dr. Paul and Dr. Becky Enenche, continue to show that true religion is love in action.”

He added that such gestures help build confidence and self-worth among children, reminding them that “God is indeed the Father of the fatherless.”

In the late hours of Saturday, October 25, 2025, a tragic lone crash occurred at Alaka Under Bridge in Surulere, Lagos, resulting in the instantaneous death of a motorist.

The incident happened at precisely 11:45 p.m. when a Navy Blue Toyota Camry, registration number EKY 311 GK, traveling at an excessively high velocity inward Iponri, lost control and somersaulted repeatedly.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the Navy Blue Toyota Camry, with registration number EKY 311 GK, was travelling at an excessively high velocity inward Iponri, when the driver lost control of the vehicle near the Alaka Under Bridge in Surulere.

The vehicle somersaulted repeatedly, culminating in a fatal impact that claimed the driver’s life at the scene.

Eyewitnesses and forensic evidence gathered at the site corroborated reports that the deceased was intoxicated, a condition that severely impaired his judgment and reaction time, leading to the catastrophic loss of control.

Members of the LASTMA 24 hours Night Duty Patrol Team, who were actively monitoring vehicular movement within the Surulere corridor at midnight, arrived expeditiously at the crash site, secured and cordoned off the affected area to prevent secondary incidents, and immediately alerted officers from the Bode Thomas Police Division.

The Police, upon arrival, conducted comprehensive documentation of the incident and subsequently released the remains of the deceased to his wife and family members, who were contacted through the deceased mobile device retrieved from the wreckage.

The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, expressed profound sympathy to the bereaved family, describing the incident as “a tragic yet sobering reminder of the fatal consequences of intoxicated driving.”

He urged all motorists to remain vigilant, responsible, and safety-conscious, especially during the Ember Months, a period historically characterized by increased road traffic and elevated crash risks.

Mr. Bakare-Oki further reiterated that one of the central resolutions of the recently concluded ‘LASTMA Ember Months Stakeholders’ Forum’ was the intensified crusade against drunk driving, a societal menace that continues to exert a heavy toll on human lives within and beyond Lagos State.

He recalled that the forum’s theme, “Safe Roads, Safe Lives… LASTMA Cares,” was purposefully crafted to amplify LASTMA’s renewed commitment to the sanctity of life through enhanced enforcement, sustained public enlightenment, and strategic inter-agency collaboration.

The General Manager implored all road users to eschew reckless indulgence, exercise self-discipline, and strictly observe traffic regulations, stressing that the 24-hour operational framework of LASTMA is not only geared toward enforcement but also toward rapid emergency intervention and the preservation of lives across Lagos State’s extensive road network.

  • LASAA Staff Exonerated,Faces Disciplinary Action For Policy Breach.

LASAA Staff Exonerated,Faces Disciplinary Action For Policy Breach.

    Emmanuel lkpeama

The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has cleared a staff member, Olukayode John Adetifa, of fraudulent transaction allegations that went viral on social media.

However, Adetifa will face disciplinary action for breaching the agency’s “no cash” policy and using a personal account for a transaction.

The controversy began when a social media post alleged Adetifa collected ₦45,000 from a client, MJ Beauty Salon, via his personal Opay account but only issued a receipt for ₦7,100.

Following the initial outcry, LASAA issued a press statement acknowledging the serious allegation and immediately directing Mr. Adetifa, who is deployed to the Alimosho Branch Office, to report for an immediate investigation and disciplinary proceedings.

The agency emphasized that all payments must be made only through officially designated government channels and reiterated its commitment to transparency.

The subsequent fact-finding by the Agency’s disciplinary panel, which included a visit to the business owner, paints a complex picture of the transaction.

Mr. Adetifa explained to the panel that the business had multiple unregistered signs and was slated for enforcement. During a final visit to encourage registration, the client, MJ Beauty Salon, agreed to pay.

She claimed she was feeling unwell and offered him cash, which he declined. The client then requested his assistance to make the official online payment, to which he obliged in an effort to secure the long-overdue revenue.

He collected ₦40,000 from the client, which he stated covered the full fees for the three signs: the Application Processing Fee of ₦7,140, the Permit Fee of ₦28,880 and payment gateway charges.

He then registered the signs online in the client’s presence, assuring her she would receive the official notification by email. Mr. Adetifa also reported receiving threatening messages later regarding the payment balance.

The owner of MJ Beauty Salon subsequently confirmed this version of events to the LASAA Management team, admitting that she was unaware of the viral post and apologized for the misunderstanding.

She specifically stated that Mr. Adetifa collected no gratification and disassociated herself from the X (formerly Twitter) handler who misrepresented the story.

Despite clearing Mr. Adetifa of fraudulent intent, LASAA confirmed that he still committed a serious offence. “It is glaring that our Staff though has no fraudulent intent as seen from his explanation and that of the client, he has still committed an offence by collecting client’s money in his personal account contrary to the Agency’s policy,” the management stated.

Mr. Adetifa will be dealt with in accordance with the Public Service Rules upon the conclusion of the disciplinary committee’s report.

LASAA used the opportunity to urge the public to always follow due process, specifically the “no cash policy or payment to personal account for no reason” as the agency’s processes are self-service, seamless and automated.

They also reiterated that they do not have any agents and implored clients to transact directly via the official website.

The agency urged the public to report genuine issues responsibly and warned against spreading false information that undermines government services.

According to the statement, Hon. Olabinjo was not involved in, aware of, or connected to any alleged arrest of a journalist as the issue referenced in the publication concerns a personal legal action independently pursued by an individual who felt defamed in a private capacity, with no relation to Hon. Olabinjo or his office.

The office also noted that the allegations of ₦350 million siphoned constituency funds are baseless, pointing out that the same source had earlier published a conflicting figure of ₦450 million.

This inconsistency, the office said, exposes the deliberate falsehood and lack of credibility behind the claims.

The statement went further to clarified that constituency projects are implemented by designated government agencies under the supervision of the National Assembly, and lawmakers neither receive nor directly manage such funds.

“The Office of Hon. Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo (BAO), Member of the House of Representatives representing Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency, has noted with concern a misleading and politically motivated publication circulating online.

“This inconsistency alone exposes the deliberate falsehood and lack of credibility behind their claims.”

“For the avoidance of doubt, constituency projects are implemented by designated government agencies under the supervision of the National Assembly. Lawmakers neither receive nor directly manage such funds.

The Media Aide urge the public, supporters, constituents, and the media to disregard the baseless report and verify any information relating to Hon. Olabinjo directly through his duly recognized office.
