  • The Gathering Of The Disgruntled: Obi Enters Nigeria’s Coalition Of Chaos.

The Gathering Of The Disgruntled: Obi Enters Nigeria’s Coalition Of Chaos.

    Mogaji (Hon) Seye Oladejo

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) views the formal defection of Mr. Peter Obi to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the long-awaited unveiling of a contraption deliberately assembled to undermine Nigeria.

What has occurred is not political evolution; it is the public activation of a coalition forged in grievance, sustained by falsehood, and animated by an unhealthy appetite for national dislocation.

We nevertheless congratulate the ADC that Mr. Peter Obi eventually yielded to their prolonged plea -or is it their instruction – to come on board. Either way, the pretence of independence has now been formally abandoned.

The choice of venue for this declaration is also not lost on discerning, pan-Nigerian electorates who understand political coding and symbolism. Nothing about this exercise was accidental; everything was calculated.

It is now abundantly clear that a predictable opposition can neither thrive nor have a meaningful place in a vibrant democracy. Long before this moment, even a political neophyte knew that Mr. Obi would not contest elections twice on the platform of the same political party – judging by his well-documented record of political promiscuity.

His latest move merely confirms a pattern of convenience politics masquerading as principle.

Let us be clear: the ADC has not discovered ideology overnight. It has merely confirmed its true identity as a political scrapyard where rejected ambitions, electoral failures, and serial aspirants converge to rehearse recycled anger.

This is not a coalition of ideas; it is a cartel of convenience. It is not about Nigeria; it is about power without responsibility.

Mr. Obi’s entry seals what Nigerians already knew. This so-called coalition was conceived with a sole beneficiary in mind – process be damned, zoning suspended, internal democracy euthanized. The loud pretence of moral purity has collapsed under the weight of naked ambition. The hypocrisy is now official.

Indeed, Nigerians cannot but wonder when Mr. Peter Obi will summon the courage to inform his handful of sympathizers that he has already agreed in principle to serve as a running mate to a pre-determined, perennial presidential candidate – a political factory-reset decision taken even before the coalition’s public unveiling. In this arrangement, consultation is cosmetic, participation is decorative, and ambition is centrally allocated.

More worrisome still is the tragic symbolism with which Mr. Peter Obi chose to end the year – by returning to the very political ecosystem he often described as a nest of criminality and corruption.

Having built a brand on performative moral outrage, he has now openly embraced the same characters and structures he once condemned with evangelical fervor. History, it appears, is repeating itself: Peter Obi, like the first Peter, continues to betray the people – not under pressure, not under duress, but out of calculated self-interest.

Nigerians must therefore take note: a man who can so conveniently return to his vomit, without remorse or even a whimper, cannot be trusted with the destiny of a nation. Those who choose to place their hopes in such political inconsistency do so at their own peril.

More troubling – and Nigerians must not look away – is the shameful refusal of the principal actors in this coalition of confusion to unequivocally condemn terrorism and its many murderous offshoots.

This silence is deliberate. It is a cowardly calculation designed to avoid upsetting home-based sympathies and regional comfort zones.

Any political formation that cannot clearly denounce the slaughter of innocent Nigerians, for fear of losing sectional applause, has forfeited the moral right to seek national leadership. Silence in the face of terror is not neutrality; it is complicity.

While this coalition sharpens propaganda as weapons against the Nigerian state, the APC-led Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is confronting hard truths – stabilizing the economy, dismantling criminal networks, restoring investor confidence, and rebuilding institutions weakened by years of reckless governance. One side traffics in noise, sabotage, and wishful failure; the other delivers governance.

This explains the coalition’s obsession with exaggeration, misinformation, and international pity-seeking. With no record of transformative leadership to present, chaos becomes their campaign strategy.

Hardship is weaponized. National challenges are converted into talking points. They pray for failure because they have nothing credible to offer.

Nigerians have seen this script before -and they will reject it again. No amount of political make-up, hurried alliances, or sanctimonious sermons can disguise the emptiness of this project.

Democracy is not strengthened by desperation, nor is nationhood built by those who wish the country ill merely to validate their personal ambition.

The Lagos APC assures Nigerians that the Renewed Hope Agenda remains irreversible. The coming together of political weapons fashioned against Nigeria will fail spectacularly.

At the polls, Nigerians will once again rise above deception and decisively reject their nemesis.

The future belongs to builders, not professional complainers; to patriots, not political tourists; to courage, not cowardly silence in the face of terror.

    Emmanuel lkpeama

Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has flagged off the All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic registration exercise at his ward, Upogoro in Okene Local Government Area.

The event ,which marked the formal commencement of the APC e-registration programme across Kogi State, attracted party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters who converged to witness the Governor revalidate his membership on the digital platform.

Ododo called on Kogites to register en masse, describing the initiative as a step in strengthening internal democracy and party organisation.

He noted that the e-registration platform responds to the growing interest of Nigerians who desire to identify with the party’s progressive ideology and reform agenda.

“Hundreds of thousands of people have been clamouring to register as members of our party. This platform has created the opportunity to achieve that seamlessly, thanks to our performing President and the national leadership of the party,” the Governor said.

The beginning was tough, but it was necessary to build a stronger and more resilient nation,” he stated.

The Governor expressed confidence that Nigerians would reward Tinubu’s courage and reforms with renewed trust.

He charged party leaders to ensure a smooth rollout of the e-registration exercise, saying the APC is leading Nigeria into a new era of digital party management

He directed the highest political appointee in each Local Government Area to work closely with council chairmen and key stakeholders of the party to guarantee the success of the exercise in their respective councils.

  • ADC’s Hollow Outburst Over President Tinubu’s Europe Trip: A Familiar Dance of Ignorance And Desperation

ADC’s Hollow Outburst Over President Tinubu’s Europe Trip: A Familiar Dance of Ignorance And Desperation

    Mogaji (Hon) Seye Oladejo

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has noted with predictable amusement the latest outburst by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) spokesperson, who has chosen to knock President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, over his recent Europe trip. As expected, when faced with serious governance, strategic leadership, and results-driven diplomacy, the ADC predictably resorts to noise, misinformation, and pedestrian politics.

It is important to remind the ADC and its spokesperson that Nigeria is not governed from a village square. In an interconnected world, serious leadership entails constant engagement with global partners, investors, development institutions, and strategic allies. President Tinubu’s Europe trip is firmly rooted in this reality. It is about advancing Nigeria’s economic interests, strengthening bilateral relations, attracting investment, and reinforcing Nigeria’s standing in the comity of nations-not embarking on sightseeing excursions, as the opposition would like Nigerians to believe.

Only the intellectually lazy would assume that leadership is confined to physical presence within national borders. President Tinubu governs with intent, structure, and continuity. The machinery of government remains firmly in motion at all times, driven by clear policy direction, delegated authority, and institutional strength. Nigeria does not grind to a halt simply because the President is engaging the world on behalf of her people.

The ADC’s fixation on travel once again exposes its chronic lack of ideas. Having nothing concrete to offer Nigerians-no roadmap, no credible economic alternative, no security blueprint-it has resorted to monitoring flight schedules and issuing press releases rooted in envy and ignorance. This obsession betrays a party still struggling to understand the demands of modern governance.

Ironically, many of those now feigning outrage were silent, complicit, or enthusiastic cheerleaders during years of wasteful foreign trips that yielded little or nothing for the nation. Today, however, under President Tinubu, international engagements are clearly aligned with Nigeria’s economic recovery agenda, foreign direct investment drive, energy transition goals, infrastructure financing, and renewed global relevance.

Nigerians are not deceived. They can clearly see the difference between a President working tirelessly-both at home and abroad-to reposition the nation, and an opposition permanently trapped in the politics of distraction and cheap headline-chasing.

As the year winds down and Nigerians look positively to a new one with renewed hope and cautious optimism, the opposition must be advised to urgently up its game. Empty, meaningless noise-making has reduced it to a caricature and a running joke in the public space. Serious times demand serious alternatives, not recycled outrage and shallow theatrics.

The Renewed Hope Agenda is not a slogan; it is an unfolding process that requires bold domestic reforms and purposeful international engagement. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains firmly in charge-decisive, deliberate, and globally engaged-for the benefit of Nigeria and Nigerians.

Lagos APC Chairman Ojelabi Denies Candidate Imposition Claims,Cites Party Values.

    Emmanuel lkpeama

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied allegations of imposing candidates on its members, saying the selection process was based on consensus

APC’s State Chairman, Pastor Ojelabi Cornelius stated that what some people describe as imposition is actually a consensus-driven process, recognized by the party’s constitution and guidelines, insisting that the party values loyalty, consistency and commitment.

He said this on Friday 26, December 2025 during the end-of-year interactive session with the media held at the party’s secretariat on ACME Road, Ogba Ikeja Lagos.

Ojelabi insisted that the process was fair and merit-based, stating that the continued growth across the country reflects its people-oriented policies and internal cohesion

The party chairman who was flanked by members of the party leadership while thanking the media for their consistent support over the years during local government, state, and national elections, including the presidential polls,he announced plans to commence an electronic registration of members across the state from January 5 to January 30, 2026, covering all the 245 wards in the 20 local government in the state.

According to him, existing members would undergo revalidation, while new entrants would complete full e-registration, noting that the exercise is aimed at creating a credible and comprehensive membership database that would ensure that loyal and active members are properly identified and rewarded ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The pastor turned politician also appealed to Nigerians, irrespective of ethnicity or party affiliation, to continue to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly as it confronts the challenge of insecurity, stressing that peace and security requires collective efforts of every individual.

“Without the place of peace and unity, meaningful development cannot take place both in Lagos and Nigeria at large, therefore President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu deserve sustained support from the people.”he said

Responding to questions relating to local government administration, Ojelabi said a party committee had completed the identification of qualified individuals for cabinet appointments across the wards, adding that announcements on the composition of local government cabinets would be made in the coming weeks as the party has set up a committee to monitor and assess the performance of its elected officials in the state.

He further assured aspirants who participated in the last local government elections that their nomination fees would be refunded soon, in line with the directive of President Tinubu

Lending his voice, the party’s spokesman, Mogaji Seye Oladejo opined that’s the e-registration exercise became necessary due to the steady influx of new members, making it imperative to open up the membership drive to accommodate them.
