    The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has extended warm and resounding congratulations to Professor Isiak Adesoji Mustapha on his elevation to the prestigious rank of Professor in Public Administration at the University of Benin, Edo State.

    The remarkable academic achievement has drawn admiration and celebration from all quarters of the society.

    NASFAT’s President, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, in a statement released by the National Public Relations Secretary Alhaji Shansideen Owolabi Oseni,commended Professor Mustapha for his dedication, perseverance, and impactful service to knowledge and humanity.

    “Your promotion to Professor is not only well-deserved but also a symbol of excellence that reflects your relentless pursuit of academic and societal development,” he said.

    As Christians in Lagos State joins millions around the world to mark the Easter celebration, Clerics has urged Nigerians to imbibe the sacrificial life of Christ to guarantee peace and security in the nation.

    Speaking with investigator news, Prophet David Willie of Worldwide Freedom Church stated that Christians should live a life of sacrifice, love and forgiveness to guarantee peaceful coexistence in the nation.

    In his sermon on the topic “Do not be afraid” taking from the holy scripture, Mark 16:6, Prophet Willie noted that God sent his only begotten son to die for sinners and the poor because of the love he has for mankind, noting that Easter was all about sacrifice, love, forgiveness, peace and eternal life, which were the mission of Jesus Christ on the earth according to God’s divine plans.

    He called on Christians to believe,trust and have confidence in Christ Jesus as his death and resurrection teaches us on how to forgive one another and learn to give to the poor.

    ”I congratulate Christians and the entire humanity for the crucifixion and the eventual resurrection of Jesus Christ today being Easter Sunday.

    ”As we mark this occasion which actually marks the life of sacrifice, I call on all Christians, the people of Nigerian  and all of humanity to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice.”

    ”Jesus Christ, even though, God, left everything in heaven for the sake of humanity to come down to our level.

    ”I call on everyone especially those who are in high positions to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice. Let our leaders be humble and become servant leaders.

    “God sent his son for us to believe, trust and have confidence in him,let us come back to him so that he can reconcile us back to God”he submitted

    The pastor in charge of Dominion Believers Ministry, Apostle Dr U.J.Essien said that the significance of Easter celebration brought about eternal life, salvation, redemption and reconciled man back to God.

    According to him, the death and resurrection of Christ should transform Christians into better individuals in the society.

    “The grace of God should make you humble and lead you to live a purposeful life. Easter is a period of reflection on the sacrifices Christ made.

    “We are here not because of who we are, our education, or the tithes we have, but because of the grace of God, therefore we should learn to emulate his lifestyle which is humility and allow God’s love to be with us so that we can extend it to the poor.” he stated

    Lending his voice,the resident pastor of the Assemblies of God Church, Ejigbo 2 Section, Transformation center,Rev Tim Paul opined that the celebration today shows the establishment of the kingdom of peace and victory over sin and death.

    He went further to state that as Christians,the need to live an exemplary life which should be centered on love and sacrifice to mankind should not be overlooked.

    “The resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolized victory over sin and death, as well as the redemption of Christians, which should inspire them to live according to His instructions.”

    “The grace of God has been made sufficient through His resurrection, and it should not be taken for granted,”

    I want to urge Christians to use the Easter period to thank God for His mercies, including those that may seem insignificant.” he stated

    The Catholic Pontiff, Pope Francis has died at the age of 88, the Vatican has announced in a post on the social media platform X, saying that the pontiff died in his residence.

    The pontiff,born Jorge Mario Bergoglio,who was Bishop of Rome and head of the Catholic Church, became pope in 2013 after his predecessor Benedict XVI resigned, making him to become the first Latin American leader of the Roman Catholic Church.

    Investigator news reports that he had recently survived a serious bout of double pneumonia.

    His death was announced by Cardinal Kevin Farrell in a statement released by the Vatican. He said: “Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis.

    “At 7.35am this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and His Church.

    “He taught us to live the values of the Gospel with fidelity, courage and universal love, especially in favour of the poorest and most marginalised.

    “With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we commend the soul of Pope Francis to the infinite merciful love of the One and Triune God.”the statement reads.

    It will be recalled that Pope faced fierce criticism from conservatives, who accused him of trashing cherished traditions.

    Investigator news reports that this impactful event is set to take place from April 22nd to 25th, 2025, at the NASFAT Mosque, 56 Fashoro Street, Surulere, Lagos. Each day’s session will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., offering participants rich insights into personal financial management.

    According to the National Public Relation Secretary,Alhaji Shansideen Owolabi Oseni noted that the partnership is aimed to promote financial discipline, savings culture, and investment awareness among NASFAT members.

    With CBN’s vast expertise and NASFAT’s grassroots presence, this initiative is designed to equip attendees with essential tools to thrive economically while upholding ethical and Islamic principles.

    The Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has reaffirmed that Abians got exactly what they voted for in the 2023 Governorship election, stating that his government is committed to delivering results and addressing long-standing issues in the state.

    Governor Otti made this statement on Sunday, March 23, 2025, while attending a service at the Assemblies of God Church No. 7 Item Street, Umuahia, within the Umuahia Central District of the General Council of Assemblies of God Nigeria.

    Reflecting on the journey so far, the Governor noted“It was exactly yesterday that marked two years since we were declared winners of the governorship election.

    “Someone sent me a video capturing the joy and celebrations that filled the entire state at that time”

    “I want to say that what Abians ordered was exactly what they got—a government that is working for the people.”he stated

    Otti went further to addressed the issue of pensioners in the state, revealing that his decision to revisit the matter was influenced by an appeal made by a man of God during the birthday service of Senator Chris Adighije.

    He expressed concern over reports of individuals signing documents and later denying their signatures, calling the situation worrisome.

    While Commending the Assemblies of God Church for its prayers and support, the Governor also praised the guest speaker, Rev. Juliet Anyim, for delivering what he described as a message of “Practical Christianity.”

    The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), distinguished Senator Dr. George Akume,disclosed this over the weekend when delivering a keynote address at the 18th Biennial Conference of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) held at Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja.

    During his address, the SGF congratulated Bishop Francis Wale Oke on his re-election as PFN President and commended the Fellowship for its key role in national development.

    He stated that with over 40 million adherents across the country, PFN has remained a pillar of faith, encouraging peace, harmony, and unity among Nigerians.

    “The government remains committed to working hand in hand with faith-based organisations to ensure national progress.

    “This administration is anchored on God and spirituality, and under the Renewed Hope Agenda, we are prioritising security, fighting corruption, and reforming education, particularly through investments in STEM,” Akume stated.

    The SGF went further to emphasise that faith and governance must work closely to build a stronger and better Nigeria,urging continued collaboration between religious institutions and the government to drive positive change in society.
