The Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo, has celebrated the councilโs workforce as well as other workers across the formal and informal sectors in the country on the special occasion of this yearโs workersโ day.
Olasoju saluted the councilโs labour under the aegis of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) for their invaluable contribution to driving the LCDAโs day-to-day activities and programs.
In the statement issued by his media office very early this morning, the council boss described workers as the pillar of any establishment or society highlighting their immense contributions to economic development and national growth.
โOn the return of Workersโ Day, I am delighted to celebrate the entire staff of our council area – the workforce in the education, finance, human resource, engineering, environment, legislative staff, legal, the entire management staff and cabinet members among others.
โYes, the Bible says thereโs dignity in labour, the activities of our workforce and others in the corporate and informal sectors across our council area – particularly artisans have not only dignified our council area but ensured socio-economic growth and development. I salute the doggedness, resilience, camadarie, strength and productivity of the entire Nigerian workers today,โ the statement read in part.
Olasoju concluded by reassuring the council workforce of improved welfare and prioritizing their various needs for optimal performance as he has always demonstrated.
