    Tinubu’s victory is a reward for his services to Nigeria – Oyetola

    On Wednesday, Adegboyega Oyetola, the governor of Osun State, described Bola Tinubu’s victory in the APC presidential primary as a reward for his selfless service to Nigeria.

    In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, Oyetola said Tinubu’s election was a clear indication that the country was on the verge of democratic rejuvenation.

    He then expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ability to lead the APC to victory in the 2023 presidential election, saying that the former Lagos governor would use his administrative skills to lead the country to unprecedented heights.

    “Your emergence at our great party’s just concluded Presidential Primary is indeed a reward of your tireless efforts and selfless services to Nigeria, Nigerians, and, of course, humanity as a whole,” Oyetola said.

    You are not only a leader of leaders, but also a brilliant politician who has used his God-given wisdom and wealth to better humanity and our beloved country’s socioeconomic fortunes.

    “With your antecedents and outstanding credentials in both the private and public sectors, I have no doubt that your emergence will deliver victory for our party in all elections, as this will further justify the search for a candidate with unimaginable qualities that cut across spheres of life.”
    Similarly, a group called Bola Ahmed Tinubu Our Choice 2023 claims that the APC presidential candidate has the political pedigree and other qualities necessary to successfully manage the country’s affairs.

    In a statement, the group’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Abimbola Tooki, praised the way the primary was conducted and urged aspirants and Nigerians to rally behind Tinubu in order for him to win next year’s presidential elections.

    If re-elected in the state’s governorship election on July 16, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, the governor of Osun State, has stated that he will never compromise his conscience in completing his campaign pledges to the people.

    The opposition parties’ baseless claim that if he is re-elected, he would not keep his campaign pledges should be ignored, according to Oyetola.

    On Sunday in Osogbo, the governor disclosed this during an interaction event with members of the Osun State Automobile Technician Association.

    Mr Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, his Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, represented Oyetola, who stated that his entry into politics was for the purpose of providing services, not for personal benefit or deceit.

    The governor, who told the state’s government workers and retirees that he was committed to their well-being, advised them not to fall prey to the opposition parties’ theatrics.

    Since the start of his government three and a half years ago, Oyetola claims he has never failed to pay workers’ pensions or wages.

    The opposition parties’ notion that if he is re-elected, he would cease paying is, he says, filthy tactics carried too far.
    The governor, who promised to do even more in his second term, encouraged voters not to be duped by desperate politicians.

    “We have spent N43 billion on pension payments for pensioners since the beginning of our government, and we will not stop.”

    “Osun is also one of the few states in the country to have enacted the minimum wage, and we’ve been paying it consistently.”

    “Those circulating lies that I would quit caring about the well-being of employees and our older citizens are untrustworthy because they have nothing to give,” he stated.

    The governor went on to say that if re-elected, he will build on the accomplishments of his government over the previous three and a half years.

    The government’s massive strides in education, infrastructure, health, empowerment, and rural development, among other areas, will not cease, according to Oyetola.

    The governor, on the other hand, asked voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) in order to vote for him in the next election.

    In his second time in office, Oyetola stated that he will not violate the people’s confidence or his conscience in terms of service delivery.

    After that, Oyetola asked members of the organization to vote for him again, promising that he would continue to offer an enabling climate for their businesses to prosper.

    In his remarks, the association’s chairman, Ajibola Akinola, praised the governor for the progress he had made in improving infrastructure and services throughout the state.

    Akinola, on the other hand, urged the governor to provide additional soft loans to the association’s members in order to help them expand their enterprises.

    He also stated that the group will back his re-election so that the positive work in the state could continue.
